I went into a local Chipotle recently where they told me that counter ordering was not allowed; they were only making food for people who ordered online. I figured no problem, I have my smartphone I'll order from my car and then come back in.
20 minutes later I gave up and went elsewhere. I wanted to order for myself, my wife, and our two sons. Each item took longer to order than it takes to make. That wasn't the end of the misery though. I then went to complete the order and the website threw an error at me. At that point it was no longer clear if the order was processed or not (I deduced only from the fact that no charge came on my card that it almost certainly was not). I looked to see if I could find any information on what happened or if I could still order it and all I got was ambiguity.
I certainly understand now why some people are ordering to have it delivered by other services, at least those websites work. The Chipotle website is terrible.
