Haha you beat me to the joke! Too good to pass up. Both the joke and the food.

New to raising pets, in what way is this senior food different from Kitten-friendly food? Asking for a ~3-4 month old kitten.

Is it the texture or size of shreds deemed unsafe (may choke) kittens? Or the composition is unsuitable for them for some reason?

From what I've read it just has added vitamins. We give this to our 18 month-old cat when they are out of the regular and it does not affect her in a negative way. If your kitten has had Delectables before, it shouldn't be an issue.

Senior kitty food has less protein but has certain extra vitamins to help with aging joints. Senior kitties tend to have kidney issues and less protein helps with that. It's fine for young kitties too as long as you supplement with a kitten food that has the protein to support their developmental needs.

After the discount it is still quite expensive. Considered a typical small can of wet food is either 2.8 oz or 3.0 oz., and these pouches weigh only 1.4oz. each which means 2 pouches equivalent to 1 typical small can in weight, or 12 pouches in this deal = 6 small typical cans.

6 small cans of wet food for $6.84 is not a deal to me, not to say that the very first ingredient is WATER!

You are right under the assumption that your cats love wet food. But my cat is not a fan of can food and he loves this treat for no reason.

My cat is very finicky. Tried t get him to eat wet food but typically licks off the gravy and leaves the meat, Tried a few brands of broth which he did the same. These stews and bisques by Hartz are a hit with him. The stews are shredded pretty fine where he eats it while licking.

Obviously not a whole meal, but as a daily supplement to get him to get some "wet" food in a older cat, seems to do the job.

Good price here. Been buying it locally from chain pet stores with coupons and clubs, but not nearly as cheap as this.

Same! My cat won't eat wet food (or human food). It's very annoying. He will also lick the gravy off wet food but won't eat it. But he loves these!
