Separate line? I guess it overpasses the trap? Does it have it's own trap? Also most clogged toilets will have certain stuff floating around in the water, especially things like toilet paper can probably easily block these small lines, still a good idea but I am not sure if it's that effective.

I haven't seen this brand recommend ANYWHERE. Not Consumer Reports, Wirecutter, The Spruce, etc etc. I've done hours of toilet research. Save your money and buy a quality throne for even $150-$200.

The best way to address overflow problem is to prevent it from happening in the first place. They way to do that is to have a larger trapway and a powerful flush which the following Glacier Bay does

There were other toilets on clearance with deep discount that weren't listed on the Lowes website, had to go to the store to see what they had available.
The dual flapper is interesting but it's $35 to replace as opposed to 10 for a regular flapper. That's 1/2 the price of the toilet.

Edit: Just saw it's a 10 year warranty on mechanical parts so that helps.

How old is your plumber? This sounds like old school advice. The big name brands all seem to cheap out while the no names are catching up because advancements in technology. Today, you may just be paying the name brands for their marketing

I have a special needs child that has flooded the upstairs toilet 8 times in 3 years. Major ceiling damage. These toilets were a lifesaver. Also great for the blind. Had them for a year and no problems. Great deal at this price.
