This week at Vons/Safeway/Albertsons, Colgate Total 4.6oz varieties are $0.99 when you clip the weekly ad coupon in the Albertsons/Vons app.

There may also be a coupon in your store app for $4 OFF when you purchase 2 Colgate Variety 3.0oz+ products. Just search for "colgate" in the coupon section.

Came out to a $2.02 money maker for me.

They actually paid you the money in store? I thought the net of coupons would essentially make it $0.

I had bought about $40 worth of groceries along with it. Showed -$2.02 for the toothpaste on the receipt.

Too keep things simple, I'd suggest having at least $2.02 worth of filler items in your cart. If the transation goes into negative, some cashiers may not know how to deal with it.

Safeway has a 'similar' J4U offer right now with Colgate tooth brush and tooth paste .

There's also another $2 off 1 digital J4U coupon that stacks, so if you buy 3 = $3 MM :-)

Many thanks for this. I successfully did it on 4 accounts. I don't use Colgate but toothpaste is always in need at the food pantry.

Did anyone try this at self checkout machines? Will they give overage back in cash?

If you hit finish and pay with a negative balance it will activate "help is on the way." I ran into that when a customer care award activated and I didn't have enough groceries to cover it.

Same here @ my local Acme market. All the toothpaste gone. Wasted trip as everything in there is so overpriced compared to other area grocery stores.
