Not saying this isn't a good deal. The end of your post where you micromanage people by saying "no threadcrapping if you don't understand the deal" isn't necessary, especially when you yourself don't seem to understand the difference between free items and investing money into a future purchase. Your whole post describes the latter. FREE would be them giving you the items with either no monetary exchange, or by giving you actual money back that at is at least equal to your purchase amount.
It's the same thing with deals that are free after rewards at Office Depot or any such deal.
In the world of deal hunting at stores like Rite Aid, CVS, Walgreens, Office Depot, etc most deal hunters understand the 'free' concept in that you are given equal or more spending power to use again. These are stores that people shop at on a regular basis, so paying Wags $10 now to get $24 worth of stuff to have another $11 to spend tomorrow is actually better than them giving me $24 worth of stuff for $0 now than not having even more to spend the next time (and an extra $4 towards gift cards at FETCH if you use that app).
As for the threadcrapping, that had to do with not understanding the deal as far as the mechanics of it. I just find people who nitpick about it being 'free' especially when it's made clear as the sun in the title making much ado about nothing. No one was mislead and it's perfectly clear you have to spend the money now to get the money to spend again later. So what is the issue then? Don't want to go that route to make it free, then don't mess with it, but you can't say you weren't told even before you clicked on the thread.
And as to your 50% off the next time (head scratching) you are given back the same amount of spending power you just laid out. So the next $11 purchase is 100% paid for too, not 50% off that purchase, and you may easily earn $10 in spending power again on that purchase with wags cash or register rewards or a rebate or whatever.
and PS, Wags Cash is valid for 12 months, so the fear mongering about using it while it is valid is definitely over the top IMO.

there are TWO distinct $4/2 coupons, BOTH must be clipped. As for older, I can't say, suppose it's possible if you can't find a 2nd coupon to clip. But I've been doing most of the free TP deals of late, and I had both this AM.

They would be called "upon investment of $18 in batteries, Your investment which could result in a minimum 50% off a future purchase you make while your OD rewards are valid."

In my case, I wasn't interested in earning more Walgreens Cash, I just used the coupon to get some SoftSoap body wash for 49c+36c-tax=85c. I made them take off the 10c bag fee.
https://www.walgreens.c
I cannot find the irish spring nor softsoap on sale in my location =(
The blue diamond almonds xtreme are also not on sale.
Don't over think it.
add the softsoaps or Irish Spring that is listed at $3.99 that have a regular price of $4.99
The almonds are BOGO, (regular price, but buy 1 get 1 free PLUS the digital comes off) so yes, they are on sale.
and as always, make sure you are logged in to your account and you've selected a store in your area to make sure stock in store is reflected where you intend to pick up the items.
But the OP's deal is a good one, if you need the stuff and have things to use the Walgreens cash on (separate transactions that don't earn bonus Walgreens cash). What do you use your Walgreens cash on? I usually end up spending it on their 2L soda sales (3/$3) though I am trying to cut down on soda. Or their frozen pizza sales that don't earn Walgreens cash.

Hi Crablover, let me help you out here.
YOU CAN USE Wags Cash to pay for another WAGS CASH deal that is based on "QUANTITY". ie, the colgate deals I have listed are buy 2, earn $2 or $4 in wags cash depending on the $3 vs $3.99 colgates.
So, you could go online, clip the digital for the colgate, add 2 to your cart, your total would be $3.98 for the two $3.99 colgates and you could redeem $3 in Wags cash to earn a new $4 in Wags cash with .98 charged to a CC.
You can also redeem wags cash on a promo like this as long as the Wags cash doesn't knock you below the $20 pre tax/pre Manu Coupon level.
IE:
Subtotal $24.48
minus $14 in Digital Man Q's (but NOT Wags store coupons like on their own products)
Minus $4 wags cash (makes the amount $20.48 towards the $5 on 20 wags cash)
Now your new OOP is only $6 + tax versus $10 + tax and you've still earned the new $5 Wags cash so you're not sitting on more and more Wags cash.

Re Office Depot: The reason so many do the free after rewards battery deals is: they meet the $10 min. monthly spend to recycle ink carts, you get $20 in rewards for recycling 10 so youre now getting back $18 in rewards on batteries and $20 in rewards on ink for $38 back (plus whatever buying empty ink carts might cost, usually 10-15c a cart wyb 200 or 300 at a time)
Also, you CAN price match the batteries to Amazon or Walmart.com, etc to lower your sales tax paid up front. So let's say you Price Match same batteries for $12, you pay tax on $12, not $18, you earn $12 back in rewards (what you pay for them) and can still recycle 10 inks since you spent $10 oop for the month.
As for Walgreens, I try to convert Wags cash for rebate items advertised here and there to 'monetize' the wags cash to US cash, they have some great snack deals on nuts, chips, and even on some grocery items from time to time (ie, this week they have Star Kist Chunk White tuna 99c a can which isn't a bad price) Also their store brands of ziploc bags and paper plates can be had at good sale prices, etc. The wags cash is good pretty much forever as long as you spend/earn new Wags cash every so often (don't let your cash go dormant and lose it) There weekly ad online is a good resource to see what they have so you can plan out a shopping trip or set alerts here on SD for 'deals' as they get posted.
Also remember that you CAN return purchase made with Wags cash for a merchandise gift card which NEVER expires. So if you spent $11 on some razor blades paid with Wags Cash and you didn't want them the next week, you could get your money back as a store credit so you're not stuck with items you may have no use for or don't like.
