Seems like the write speeds are very lacking based on reviews

Remember when your mind was blown when you bought a 256MB thumb drive? Kids these days have no idea how good they have it.

According to CCC this is about in line with recent prices. These and other Samsung drives are my go-to thumb drives. They don't have the slow down problems that Sandisk drives have.

I have the 32gb and 128gb versions. The read speed is absolutely amazing, probably the fastest I've personally experienced on USB thumb drives.

However, the sad fact is that the write speeds are indeed very slow. It's so slow that I rarely use them anymore. Frown

It's all metal. That's a good sign because heat dissipation throughout the body.

Frigging useless Keychain hole.

The Kingston DataTraveler SE9 has a great Keychain hole and fast read and write speeds.

Remember when I managed that small computer store and we sold a 20MB external drive for $2,000.00?

I think, that was the 256GB SanDisk Ultra Fit USB 3.1 Flash Drive (SDCZ430-256G-G46) at $23.

I'm using it in my PS5 to offload my PS4 games and it works great. Not sure what use case you're asking about though. Probably not good for PC games I'd guess.
