Great premium chassis, unfortunately not very great hardware. Great if you need a 17" display, this is a good buy.

But legion 5 pro sales, 3060 coming in at around 100$ less then this and 3070 variants ranging from 1400-1600 with discounts provide a much better deal. As you're stepping away from a big standard 144hz 1080p display for arguably the best laptop display ever(unless you do pro color work) which really lifts the ceiling. Especially

if it's a 3070 Legion it'll have much more grunt then this, and is the sweet spot GPU for this generation providing the largest gain over its lower tiered card(in other words the difference between the 3060 to 3070 is significantly larger then the 3070 is to the 3080. Especially because 3060 only has 6gb VRAM, unfortunately)

This is downvoted too much imo, but for most there are indeed better deals overall.

Before I posted this deal, I search for the MSI GE76 and there was no result.. Now I see one post on 7/1.

I do apologize. Why I didn't see that today I don't know.

"Great premium chassis" should never be in the same sentence as MSI. MSI has been crappy for years. I saw this laptop at CostCo as well, looked and felt pretty chintzy. "Great gaming performance for the price," maybe. But that's not even the case with most of their products when purchased at near MSRP like this.

Snagged this one from a store and I'm pretty happy with it. I might return it since i already have a lot of hardware.
Trying to see if i can repaste and overclock the 11800h but not many guides out there.

Looks like a 200 dollar off coming soon in September 1st. I placed a order and plan to return my Legion 5 with a 3060.

I was thinking of returning mine cause I have too much hardware but it's just too powerful. Don't even feel like repasting right now cause it runs games/productivity really well. Excellent chassis.

I left a review but you can use intel/nvidia utility to maximize the screen. It makes a huge difference!

Due to a glitch the got the MSI for 300 off, returned the Legion 5. So far no wifi issue due to being Intel ax210 6e vs realtek... Lol
