Was $200 then recently $150 now it's $99. First deal, be gentle.

Seller is electronics expo, not some random third party seller. They are an authorized harman retailer and this item is fulfilled by amazon anyway, so standard amazon easy return policy applies. Don't be spreading bs, this is a solid deal.
That's a fantastic price. Normally $99 is a deal for refurbs! They are definitely something you buy because you love the way they look, though. Someone interested in rich mids probably should stick with "studio monitor" speakers lol.

These have a fairly unique sound character - the subwoofer kinda has an air cannon sound to it, and the satellites are a bit heavy on the treble. That said, I've always been a fan of them. I'd buy another set but I'm not sure what I'd do with it....
It said item is returnable.

Regarding Bluetooth capability, I suggest getting a Bluetooth receiver for your sound system instead of built-in one, because the technology of BT is still improving, the newest one should be BT 5.0, the technology few years ago was BT4.0, you don't wanna the Built-in BT version got outdated rapidly, because there is no way you can upgrade it. Yes, the adapter is not convenient as the built-in one, but you can replace it with newer technology easily, most importantly, BT receivers/adapters are cheap.

You're paying a premium on the design but it's beautiful/unique. Since these will be on most people's desks in plain sight, they're very aesthetically pleasing compared to say the Klipsch $70 slick deal. I have both (mine are probably first or second gen) and Klipsch will be the better oomphier and richer sound but these stand out every time you sit down and lean towards a "crispier" aka treble-boosted sound for your play. The Klipsch are basic AF looking but once you have music or gaming on, it's rather immersive.

since you have both, would you recommend returning back my Klipsch $70 and purchasing this HK for $100? Is sound quality more or less same for average users? Thanks

Had it for 3 years with no issue.
Not very powerful, compared to my old Boston Acoustics, but sounds great at low volume. Surprisingly good bass and mid with very clean treble. Good separations.

The reviews pushed me away. They seem legitimate and I'll keep my old 5.1 that will never die.

If you want better quality, get the CR5-XBT for $190.

SoundSticks subwoofer gain knob is on the back of the subwoofer, really dumb design.

Klipsch 2.1 sound much better for $70 anyway.

It is all about the look, especially when you wanna show off your desktop, some folks can spend more than $200 on an Elekstube, which is basically a digital clock with RGB light. Are you going to show off your desktop? Will you capture your desktop when creating a YouTube video? Personally, I like the design which many folks also gave a WOW factor.

Yep. Apparently this is gen 3 but what exactly have they changed here? The design doesn't leave much to the imagination.

noob.

Klispch kardon ans logitech are all the speakers for non audiophile trashcan. You can buy any and it will prove you cannot afford mid or highend that is amplified. I use cheap logitech like 20 bux one and i use KEF speakers for music. You are a noob thinking thise brands u listed are good speakers. Get good soon.

I have a peachtree Nova Amp. I have some fancy stuff too.

For most people they are looking for simple 2.0 or 2.1 setup. No Dac, No pre-amp, They will not be listing to FLAC or Tidal masters. They just want to listen some music off of Youtube. and play some game.

For $100 set up that does not take up tons of space on their dorm room room or apartment,
Klipsch 2.1 ofine Nor everyone want to build up a stack. If you are talking about KEF LS or some set up that takes up too much room you are talking to the wrong audience.

What do you recommend Who owns 13" laptop who just want to plug in one 3.5 mm jack and be done with around $100?

Kanto YU6 And AudioEngine A2+ is already out of the budget.
Klipsch Promedia is good under $100. I think recently they had a deal around $70 on SD.

Don't get snobby with audio if you can not suggest anything better under $100. KEF... Give me a break. Even their cheap Q150 is like $400.
