Make sure the filter sponge is reinserted after you clean it. Don't make the same mistake I did and get a mouth full of baby boogers.

We've had this for a couple years and I must warn you. You will get sick from whatever your child has if you use this. A sponge will not stop the germs from your child's mucus from entering your lungs. My wife and I noticed we were always getting sick and constantly having sore throats. Then we stopped using it and the frequent sore throats stopped. You will still get sick because you have kids but as amazing as this is and it does work well, we decided it was worth us getting sick each time.

Honestly, there is a ton of pressure drop in the hose and filter, I just bypass all that crap and use the end pipe directly. "But you'll get sick". First, I have 4 kids and have have far nastier things to deal with than some snot. Second, do you think that weak ass "filter" is doing much? Besides the big snots, no.
