Just wanted to add my standard disclosure on these Persil deals.... Persil Pro Clean (Stain Fighter and Original) are two of CR's highest rated detergents. Stain Fighter is actually tied for #1 in CR ratings with Tide's resident #1 detergent - Tide Plus Ultra Stain Release.

As far as scent, it's a preference thing, but to me, I like Persil Original's stronger scent, and find it to be bonus - for me.

Made the switch to Persil sometime last year. The pros: everything feels cleaner with no residue or "crusty" feeling that some detergents would cause. The cons: I'm not a huge fan of the scent, but it dissipates, and it seems to exacerbate the eczema on my elbows. Has anyone found a well-performing detergent that doesn't trigger flare-ups?

They have one listed as sensitive skin. Maybe that will make a difference.
* Just read some reviews on some other sites regarding the sensitive skin. It looks like a decent amount of people are praising it. Here is one review that mentioned eczema specifically:

Persil for sensitive skin is the best sensitive skint detergent I've tried. It's one of the better detergent brands out there at getting out stains and grime. There is no fragrance or dyes, but my clothes don't come out smelly... definitely clean. It's a little on higher end of my detergent budget, but worth my time when I don't have to spend so much time treating stains (with 4 kids) it is also non-irritating for my two eczema prone kids with sensitive skin.

Persil liquid is definitely fine for HE -- I use Persil in a Samsung front loader. How old is your washing machine? It's always possible that your washer may not be adding enough water and that's leading to excessive suds, or maybe the "suds" sensor, itself, is faulty.

I think you may be using too much of the detergent. HE doesn't use that much water so you should use lest detergent. It's a much more efficient clean. I learn that from watching you tube.
