Seems like these aren't really selling maybe...? I'm sure kids would love this though. Not sure how many people have good houses to race this around in... not sure how it does on thicker carpet

GameStop also had this price for both sets. Price match at Target with 5% Redcard savings. Add in a Target circle offer for a $25 gift card when you buy $100 in video games. Not a bad deal!

They also just updated the software for the game to add more content.

This is one of those toys where my inner child says this is genius but my adult mind asks but....why? You can race a car or race in Mario kart....but you want to try to do both...poorly...at the same time?

This is an absolutely brilliant idea, but I am not buying a second switch to play head to head races. That's the deal killer for me... I need at least two players to enjoy Mario Kart...

Just FYI -most people will play with this a few times, and then it will just sit in the box… so if you are buying this thinking it will be a lot of fun, sure it will but it won't last too long

I play this once a week with my nephew (we both have it). We have a lot of fun. Some things that I've noticed that may help:

- The cars handle my rugs and loop pile carpet without an issue. I've never tried it on shaggy carpet. It might drag a bit on 50cc, but I *think* faster races would handle it fine. The cars are relatively light and I doubt they would get stuck.

- When we play, I use my Switch connected to the TV near the center of my home and host the game from it. Having the hosting Switch stationary helps reduce game disconnects (it practically never happens now). It is also using wired Ethernet to the router, that probably also helps.

- Putting the hosting Switch near the center of the house let's us race through multiple rooms. We use some foam board scraps I have as ramps to get over doorway thresholds without issue. Using more than one room really opens up what we can do with tracks.

This may not be possible for everybody, just sharing some tips that worked for us.

If you have to buy two and also have two switches to race then its too expensive for what it is.

Can confirm, this is exactly what happened in our house. It's hella impressive the first time you see it in action but fades quick in the stretch.

I said it was going to be another LABO situation, cool but not for me, and many people on SD disagreed with it. Now it turns out that this kit is not so fun as advertised. we need more advanced tech to make this game glitchy-free.
