Currently using same model. I love it. Biggest con is the screen quality. It is plenty fast & good size ssd. Dimensions are compact and lightweight. I love the fact that it can be charged through usb c.

How do you make sure it becomes double channel when you add ram to a laptop? I had 8 in my T490 and got 16 more it's 24 now but how do I make sure it uses its full potential?

Even number of sticks of ram means dual channel for the most part… Some laptops have ram built into the mother board AND if you're lucky it may have one slot to add a stick of ram. That will make it dual channel.

I'm not sure in your case, but my best guess is that only 16gb of your 24gb is dual channel… There have to be matching amounts from what I understand.

8gb is still fine if all you want is a laptop that can handle basic tasks and even light gaming (which is what the igpu is limited to anyway)

How does this not have an SD card slot? Wanted it for 3d printing and use SD to transfer files. Guess I'm still hunting. Was already on the fence with only 8gb RAM

google Acer Swift 3 keyboard problems. it's plagued this line of laptop for several generations. it's a great bang for the buck otherwise,
but it if you can accept several keys not working sometime into the ownership of this laptop, lol. i've seen people taking an external or bluetooth keyboard into the coffee shop as a work around, i laugh when i see it because that's what i did as well.

I got this last year around this time for $499. I use it almost 6-8 hours a day. I connect the hdmi out to 34 inch Samsung curve monitor. Position it higher than my laptop display. It acts like a dual monitor. I use the laptop's keyboard and external mouse. It is working out so good. Only complain is the keyboard backlit. Due to the silver color keyboard, the alphabets printed on the keys are not visible when it black lit.

I can't confirm this, but I think you should be able to update to TPM 2.0 for W11 based on how new it is. Most Mobo chipsets from 2019 and beyond "should" have the capability. Again, I can't guarantee that.

how often does the fan turn on ? side or bottom vent ?
