I love this series through and through, though I can understand how others find it polarizing especially the end. It's still amazing, as far as I'm concerned. SO SAY WE ALL! Or at least, some of us.
I like most sci-fi, but also wasn't a fan of this. I can't put my finger on it. Overall, the quality of the show is good...solid actors, decent effects, interesting story. Nonetheless, I had to give up on it about halfway in. I did see the finale and had no regret that i stopped watching.
Is it bad that I like the original Battlestar Galactica, as amazingly cheesy as it is, better?
I actually have not seen the original version, maybe it would be neat to check out! Although the special effects would probably be distracting.😄
The fact that everyone says frack 10 times a minute ruins it. Not that human robots taking over is a deep plot anyways but the fake swearing made it worse.
It's back on Peacock, which also has commercials. Seems like the Peacock app is a lot better than Tubi.
Tubi is already on my Roku, so I watch it there.
I only get interrupted with about 2 mins of commercials every 20-25 minutes. Sometimes, only once for a whole episode.
How is Peacock on commercial frequency and length? I can't watch regular TV because of all of the commercial breaks piss me off, so my tolerance is pretty low.
Man I put off watching this for almost 15 years and it was collecting two inches of dust on my old HD DVD shelf. I must say so far it's really good and there's a good chunk of stuff that really holds up well today Fx wise.

dumb question, but this is disc only, right? no way to also own it digitally for streaming, right?
I don't mean to over-simplify, but I google'd and read about how to do this years ago and have never looked back. It isn't 'that' hard but takes a bit of nuanced work to make it go.
A. Build a Plex server. Or buy a device to host a Plex Server.
B. Rip the DVD or Blu Ray to your device (takes a large bit of time to digitize your content but for us, that investment continues to pay dividends.)
C. Stream your own content for free.
Many disc series are available used on Amazon. I looked for Used-Very Good and was able to get each season of the Office between $5 and $12 a season.

back in the day i would have done that for sure... but these days im willing to pay a bit more for the convenience of not having to do all this stuff myself. i dont even have a working dvd player on my laptop right now. it broke and i havent gotten around to fixing it.
it is tempting though, ill admit. i have quite a few movies i downloaded forever ago that i wouldnt mind being able to access everywhere.
