Home Depot have the Lutron Caseta Smart Dimmer switch available at bulk pricing of $49.97 each, when you buy 3 or more.

Be aware that this deal may not work for you, and you have to try it in a Home Depot store in person. I had seen the deal online last week but do not see it anymore. However, when I walked in to the store in person, they still have the deal going on.

Attached please find the image from store.

Sucks that this is the deal nowadays. I recall these being around $40 each back in the day. They really are great switches however, especially if you lack a neutral wire.

You may want to add the stipulation that you must buy 3 or more to the title.

Buy 3 and return the other 2? 🤔 Not sure what the receipt will state the "return value" of each of them as, but it may be worth a shot if you only need 1.

The discount is prorated per item. I've done it several times in the past year

Really? I've outfitted a few houses over the years and helped others purchase these and yeah you could get them for $40 pretty regularly if you worked for it on eBay but I don't recall too many replicatable deals at that price. Not saying you're wrong or anything maybe I just missed that span of time. These are by far my favorite switches though. Love them and recommend them to everyone.

I think this is a YMMV bulk deal from store to store. For at least several months, my local HD store (Minneapolis area) has had the in-store deal for ~$45 each when you buy at least three (I've taken advantage a few times). Also note that if you're in an area where Menard's is located, Home Depot has an 11% rebate program (that's not well advertised) to compete with Menard's frequent 11% rebate on everything. These Caseta devices qualify even with the bulk discount. You only get back store credit but stacked with the bulk price it brings them down close to $40 each.

I just looked back at the archives and the deals were between 40-45. I feel like they weren't 60 in store back then, but I could definitely be wrong.

Thanks OP - TU and repped.

Worked for me at the Willow Grove store (suburban PHL) @ $49.95 x 3. I have 3 dimmers that don't need a 3 way setup with Pico remotes etc., so nice to get a discounted price for the essential switch without unneeded accessories.

i scored a 2 dimmer starter kit for $49 at lowes which included 2 dimmers, 2 remotes, and 1 bridge.

They are good overall if you don't have neutral, but i do have neutral and I find them to be too limiting because of a lack of neutral. For example, no scenes, no remembering "last" dim state (you can have a "favorite" state if you use the battery operated remote), no way to set the ramp rate (how fast the light dims on or off). Basically, anything that requires some sort of "memory" is a no-no due to lack of neutral wire.

There are z wave features (which require neutral) that have much better functionality and are cheaper.

The thing caseta has going for it is reliability.
