I have this one. It works well. So much better than the ones that have the elastics that secure around the corners. It's nice to be able to remove and insert the phone back into the holder easily.
My guideline is: No name storefront on Amazon that exists nowhere but on other larger merchant websites + coupon code = probably not legit. I hate to say it, but these sellers figure out ways to game the system (to get around fakespot, for instance).
Frankly, a ton of comments on SD for an item of apparent limited utility is another huge red flag that makes me want to run the other way. It could be a tactic to push an impulse/panic buy.
None of these guys get my money. It's like asking how to find the best tasty treats in the sewer.

I have several of those holders and like them. One's just for running so it doesn't pertain to this, but another is removable and comes with both an arm belt and handlebar mount so you can swap between the two. It works great for running since it turns 360 and can be easily removed if need be. I've yet to use the bike mount but it looks pretty sturdy. I feel that the elastic, if used properly, is more secure that this style. But it only makes sense on a bike if it's also removable.
I just buy whatever's on sale, with a preference for lightly gel padded ones. I don't understand how anyone bikes without gloves. Absorbs sweat and vibration, gives a better grip on the bars, can be used to wipe sweat and "nose sweat", and if you fall (and sooner or later we all do), it prevents cuts and scrapes on your hands. Never ride without 'em.

FYI this product is 4.5 stars at 10k reviews, so definitely a more popular model. Purchased for navigating our local bike trails that tend to weave on and off streets.
Orrrrr, they give free items for fake reviews.....seems more likely
Is this easy to steal off your bike? In other words, if I leave the phone holder on my bike (without the phone) while my bike is chained somewhere, can it easily be stolen?
Hi. I am reading a deal site looking for a deal. I have done zero research, so my contribution is telling you all that I have nothing to contribute.
Indeed! I've contributed in the comments section on other product lines I've thoroughly reviewed, and was curious to hear others' experience with this and similar products to determine if this was worth purchasing. Thanks for those of you who replied with helpful info!

Interesting, is there a way to tell if the reviews are all paid? Thought that the B score on fakespot was some sort of indicator of review quality, in combination with the comments here in Slickdeals seemed legit - any intel on how to better vet reviews?
I have this on my motorcycle and it has held up well, if you have very thick bars mounting might be an issue, along with the placement of your mirrors and clutch / brake cables. Its solidly built though and has taken quite the shaking on some rides

Most car- mounted holders are not so strong like this.
