Patently false
Reputable manufacturers specify the luminosity according to the ISO 21118 standard. Projectors on Amazon selling for ~$100 post luminosity figures without specifying conditions. In other words, they're marketing BS.
Also, resolution and brightness (whether falsified or accurate) are not the only metrics that determine a good image.
If you can point me to a ~$100 projector that is 1080p+ native and has more than 2500 lumens according to the ANSI or ISO 21118 standard, I'll eat my words and consider buying you a beverage. Otherwise, please stop trolling.

Been wanting a decent projector and decided to buy. Heard so many bad reviews of anything cheaper.
Last year's cnet [cnet.com]review was good. Thanks!

Only 2500 lumens and 1080p. You can get better on Amazon for like $100.

I was reading through the specs and it says it has "up / down" and "left / right" adjustments. So let's say I have the projector slightly elevated and at a slight angle horizontally. Could I adjust my picture to be perfectly flat? I got a cheap Vankyo this time and now I want more haha but it only has the "up / down" focus I think where if I elevate it I can move the screen to being "flat" again ... but I have to be perfectly straight at the wall.

How is the manual focus as well?

I'm assuming the 'auto focus' variety are in a much more expensive price range ...
Yea the keystone can be adjusted to perfectly flat. Also the focus is easy to use and works great. Bought one a month ago. We love it. Only issue now is we want an even better one!

Is anyone able to comment on how good this projector is for sports? Is there much blurring or is it able to keep up with a fast moving football or hockey puck? Thanks!
I've been watching the nba finals and it looks pretty smooth to me

Epson HC2150 vs HC3700? Which one is a better choice? $450 vs $650?

Out of curiosity what would you describe that way? Pretty much all of the reviews when it was released mention things like: very bright, bright, suitable for rooms with light etc. To me that is reviewer for, light cannon in the price range (And when discussing a/v equipment we are always discussing comparisons versus the msrp price range we are shopping otherwise we're just being trolls.)
I used to have a 2045 model that was 2200 lumens and it was not very bright in my shaded living room - it really needed a dark room. The 2150 has about 15% more lumens which would not be a huge leap from my dim 2045. I now have a 3700 model which is 3000 lumens and it has been described by many as a light cannon. It's definitely hugely better in ambient light than the 2045. If you're going to call the 2150 a light cannon then probably 50% of the projectors out there in this class are light cannons too. I assume that the term is meant to describe models that are exceptionally bright.

I love it. I can use it during the day against a 120" screen. It was a huge leap from the 2045 in overall picture quality and usability. At $650 [epson.com] I think it represents the best value for money of all the Epson clearance projectors. And if you're a heavy user the OEM lamps are just $99 directly from Epson.

All of this said, I haven't tried a 4K projector and nor do I want to in case I get upgraditis. As it is, the picture quality of my home setup now, even at 1080P, is much better than any cinema I have ever been to.

Thank you so much. I will grab the 3700 instead of 2150.

Just note that it's a physically bigger unit. It is still somewhat portable though in that it has speakers and it has lots of keystone/zoom adjustment.

This 2500 with LCD is much better than 3000 DLP projectors. I have been using in my living room for 3 years. Absolutely love it. Just upgraded to Epson 3800.
