Have had one for about a year. Mostly use it to power lower-amperage tools like a drill or angle grinder, in a place where I need more oomph than my Ryobi 18V tools can provide.

Starts easily. Very quiet. Runs a 6.2 amp Metabo angle grinder almost flawlessly. Sometimes, when it bogs down in a heavy cut, the genny will stall, but in fairness, it's probably drawing more amps than the genny is rated for in that situation. I just work a little slower and it gets through the work just fine. Also have to let it warm up for a minute or so if going to be working it to its limits.

I run it with non-ethanol gas and leave the gas in it. It's got a fuel cut off switch that lets you kill the motor by running the carb dry, which makes for easier starts in the future.

I'd feel very comfortable with any application up to 6 or 7 amps. Any more than that, you need a bigger genny.
No, the initial startup of either would kill this.
This isn't completely true... It will put out the current it says, under the very specific conditions it says. If you are running a motor with it(inductive load) you have power factor limitations to consider as well as in rush current. These things are really magnified on an inverter this small.

Great generator. Light, quiet and decent on fuel consumption. Long term durability questionable compared to a Yamaha or Honda, but for $170, you really can't complain.

You can if it fails when you need it. I returned a Sportsman because it only put out half the current it claimed.

Yes, at 175 watts, that PA system draws about 25% of this generators 800 running watts. A full tank of gas would run that system for 10 hours or more.

They can take 5 or 10 times the running current to start. Impossible to say without knowing the characteristics of the appliance, but it is unlikely.
