I have this scale. It doesn't work well. It's always 5-10 pounds off.
To sell more stuff to you, that's all.
Whats the benefit of a smart plug on a scale?

Is it consistently off? If so I'll add/subtract the 15 lbs.

I have this scale and use it everyday. It connects to Bluetooth on my phone without any issues about 98 percent of the time. The times it doesn't, I just reboot my phone and it connects just fine. The body fat percentage is very accurate for me, but it seems to be all over the place for my wife. The automatic tracking and charting on the app is also useful and encouraging for hitting goals. All in all, a pretty good scale for under $20.

I had the Wyze scale for a couple of months and it worked fine. However, first it stopped measuring only weight and not BMI, etc. I was OK with that because I wanted to just track my weight. However, then it stopped connecting with my phones- I tried three of them with the Wyze app.

So, like the Wyze to Eufy camera migration I did, I bought this Eufy scale and it has worked perfecting for me. Tracks everything and never had problems connecting to my phone.

Never buying another eufy branded item. They seem to release half featured items with tons of bugs and never fix them only to then abandon them for the next hot craze. Waiting for a eufy sousvide or eufy drone so I can lol

This will do virtually nothing you want it to unless you provide all kinds of free data and tracking. They should pay people to use these scales, they make enough selling the information.
Thanks b/c I'm in the market for a scale and you just helped me dodge a bullet.

Don't like how the Android app requires GPS so make sure to use an Apple device or manually input into Google Fit.

https://github.com/oliexdev/openScale

Though no official support claimed, but this open source app might be compatible. Worth trying out if you don't like the official app.

Afaik location is required for pairing with the scale (even if not getting the actual location), if the permission could be denied after pairing then it should be fine.

Do you weight yourself barefoot. If wearing socks the wyze will only show weight but not anything else

If I'm just interested in tracking my weight do I care about the P1 version?
I spent an hour trying to figure this out across both Wyze and Eufy options. There is a Q&A about the P1 vs the C1 on the P1 page and the EufyHome (seller) answer mentions a "simple mode" where weight-only is an option. I confirmed in the P1 manual that weight-only measurement is possible wearing socks/shoes (any scale works this way) or selecting the "weight-only measurement mode in the EufyLife app." I checked the C1 manual and the regular Smart Scale manual and their "Weight-Only Measurement" instructions say they are weight-only if you skip using the app. Um, yeah, P1 is the only one that let's you disable the other options, at least in terms of metrics recording. Wear socks if you really want to skip the scale trying to do the electric stuff on your feet.

So yes, if you want to skip the other metrics which are less likely to be accurate, P1 seems to be the best way to go. It's $29.98 after a 25% off coupon on the product page right now. The EUFYSCALE discount code didn't stack. I'm like you so that's what I'm getting.

Protip: You can usually decline those permissions and still use the app just fine (minus the features you declined) on Android.

Could be useful for those who want to chart their weight via the fitbit app. eufy app isn't likely to get as many future updates and fixes as the fitbit app does and many of us already own a fitbit and are using their app to track health. The P1 scale seems better as the sensors are newer tech. Someone else mentioned the NYT's wirecutter recommendation. Here's their brief summary on the P1. Note the part about the scale sometimes sending the previous reading instead of the current reading. That's less than desirable ain't it? Also, all the BMI calculations and such are done by an algorithm. If those numbers help motivate you to reach your health goals then there's no harm. But if you have a serious health condition and are closely monitoring your vitals and such these readings calculated by a simple algorithm should not be taken seriously.
