I have a previous generation of this laptop (10th gen i5). It's a decent laptop, but the fan runs LOUD and it gets hot a lot. I don't know if that issue has improved in the current generation of this laptop.

Contrary to that, my Acer Spin 3 with the same generation i5 chip runs much cooler and quieter. I am quite impressed with the quality of Acer over HP.

You are paying for the 2 in 1 full hd touch screen and speed. 14 is a little small for me, but if you have good eyesight and need portable. At this price I am surprised it doesn't have a backlit keypad, a very useful feature when not sitting at a well lit desk. HD is a little small, but has sd card reader for more storage and the hd is probably super fast being an m.2. 8 gigs of ram is the absolute minimum I would recommend with the current version of windows 10, I would prefer 16 at this price. If you are worried about a possible loud fan, see if they have a fan speed adjuster for this laptop to make it quieter. I have had success making laptops quieter 2/3 of the time with a different thermal curve. Not too bad of a deal if you like the smaller 2 in 1 touch screen at current computer prices. Also seem to have a good battery and charge pretty fast.

I think this one is a better laptop... at least the specs are higher and cost less.

AMD Ryzen 7 5700U
16gb Ram
512gb SSD

Your deal is way better. AMD integrated graphics is far superior than Intel integrated graphics.

So far as I know, with Iris XE graphics, that's no longer (or not currently) the case:

I watched a few videos on this as well, and it seems like the consensus is that it's about a toss-up.

Here's a video pitting the Ryzen 7 5800U vs. the Intel i7-1165G7 for various games:

I concur, I picked up a Dell Inspiron with i5 and Iris and I'm playing red day redemption on it. Night and day difference between Iris and cheaper integrated Intel graphics. About 4x higher sysmark benchmarks.
