Had $40 in dell rewards and 5% paypal. Can easily add a m.2 for a ssd. I believe this mobo only has one m.2 slot so if you want a bigger ssd i would avoid getting the dell upgrade. You can easily find 1tb m.2 these days for around $80. Beats the $80 dell charges for a 512gb and you get to keep the 1tb hd for backup purposes

Does this have a TPM chip for windows 11 compatibility? Or is that why it's on discount?

Decent price for the overall specs, but would be much better if more reasonably priced upgrades to the GPU, RAM and Hard Drives were available.

So i cant buy this and rip out the OEM cardd and use it in my machine, and put in my old 970gtx and sell it for 800$?
970gtx machine probably worth $400 after fees. Lucky if you can sell it for $550.

the outlet deals are much better, though no longer slick. they've upped them to be a little below market price. everything from rx5300 to rtx3090 and most stuff in between
$800 more gets you a ryzen 5, rtx 3080, and nvme4 drive (in a 3 slot)

am i the only one who thinks Alienware cases are corny as hell? like they were unique about 15-18 years ago.. but they just look goofy as hell compared to other aftermarket cases.

What's the maximum ram can be upgraded to?
It should be noted that this mobo supports up to 3400mhz ram max. This does not necessarily apply all the way up to 128gb. I suggest googling the user manual for the configurations supported. Also, i wouldnt use any ram, since if its too tall, it wont fit. (Corsair vengeance pro rbg tested, fits)

Will I be able to swap out this graphics card in the future? Also… how reliable is Alienware nowadays
Yes, you can swap out the graphics card with 3080 or 3090 for example.
Alienware cases are total garbage when it comes to cooling so if you're going to use the graphics card to the limit, it WILL overheat and throttle down. There's space for two fans in front and one at the top and that's all! No rear fan! One of the front fans is obstructed and is at the HDD spot too so you have to move the HDD.
