With the way things are right now, it feels wrong watching an OEM waste this much silicon pairing it with these dumpster fire displays.

What's with the 35W intel chips in a thin and light? I feel like these CPUs are going to instantly throttle unless dell has really changed their cooling solutions.

Need a solid uograde, I'm not gaming but if I could load a game or two, cool, what r thoughts? Just upgrading from an 8 year old laptop that's falling apart

You're correct on that. Dell doesn't even offer the 100% sRGB 300 nits option in US Market. And it's not Dell, every manufacturers are doing this at this price point

It will play older games just fine at mid to low settings. But if you're going to use mostly in home, then I would suggest to pick up a budget gaming laptop with a low end dedicated GPU like GTX 1650 Ti or the newer RTX 3050. In 4th July deals, we have seen plenty budget gaming laptops at $700-$750 range

Inspiron has multiple sub series, 3000, 5000 and 7000. This is Inspiron 5000 series 2021 refresh and it has better build quality than Flex series. Also, it has better selection of ports.

Don't really care to game to be honest, just want it mainly for multitasking, browsing and kinda future proof

Dell has these chips running at 15W, per their support docs. This was discussed in an earlier thread on the 5410. This Core i7-11370H will not perform much faster than the i3-1125G4 (which also has 4 cores 8 threads) in the base configuration of the Inspiron 5410, except for better graphics.

I was the one who pointed that out from the Dell Official Platform specification document. The weird part is that the other two Screen size of this series, Inspiron 15 5510 and even the 13.3" version, Inspiron 13 5310, coming with 35W implementation of this H35 chipset.

Looks like Intel has anticipated a lot of sell for that so called Power efficient H35 series in Thin & Light Gaming Laptops which did not happen. So, they're clearing the stock with even the normal Ultrabook which normally use low wattage Processors.

That is a long time and not sure if it will hold up that long if you are actually planning to run some CPU intensive Engineering applications. If this is just for your normal works like Documentation, note taking, some basic applications then it will be fine.

There's the Inspiron 15" version, for a little more, which is a full-power 11370H.
