You can get two 12pc set at normal walmart price for this price. Not a good deal.

But Walmart has them for cheaper

12 pieces, set for 4 for $27.97 each

So you can get setting for 8 for about the same price as this deal.

Thanks for this, almost pulled the trigger thinking it was a good deal for Corelle. Will wait for a better deal

I miss the days when Costco would sell sets of Corelle. I bought 3 sets of service for 8, and split it half with my Mom. So, we both had service for 12. I wish I could get her set that is somewhere in storage, as she passed away a long time ago. A lot of my pieces are gone after a couple of moves, and some breakage.

Its says microwave safe, but the plate will get twice as hot as the food, not the same quality that we grew up with.

That hasn't been my experience and my Corelle is maybe 10 years old

They do get hot in the microwave but they cool back down quickly. In reality, all plates do that, just most have extra layers of thickness in the base which puts more buffer between your hand and where the food is.

It's possible they have a more powerful microwave, they heat different types of food , heat food longer or a bunch of other random things that makes their experience different from yours. It's like when your wife cheats on you, It's not necessarily better it's just different but in a more fulfilling way.
