I canceled my $1310 order for the R4 3070 32GB RAM for this because it was taking forever to ship. Already regretting it lol. This has 33% faster CPU though. Yay?

I guess that is due to how limited the deal is. If it keeps popping up or there is plenty of stock at the sale price, the perception of being a "slick" deal goes down.

I was able to get this laptop for $1077 after contacting Dell to cancel my order. I figured I could use the extra 100 to purchase additional memory.

Ordered one. It seems no coupon works with it though. Also, someone says it received new bios update on 3rd of July, like g15 11gen Intel, to enable the mux switch. Let's see.

- Fixed the issue where the system does not power on from Hibernate mode. This issue occurs in systems with Samsung DDR4 RAMs.

Enhancements:
- Added Enable Hybrid Graphics /Advanced Optimus (when available) option in BIOS Setup Menu on systems with non-DDS LCD panels.
- Added the CPU TCC offset option in BIOS Setup Menu to improve system performance.

I dont think the 165Hz display which this ones comes with supports advanced optimus?

This things gets so hot that it's hard for me to characterize it as a "laptop." It's mostly on a desk. It's also heavy. Unless you travel a lot or need that mobility, I think a desktop with lesser specs would far out perform this thing.

Great insight, except no. I have the desktop RTX 3060 in my Ryzen 3600 desktop. I compared my R5 (which I returned due to backlight bleed) and they get exactly the same scores in various Unigine benchmarks. Also, the advantage to this is it's not a desktop. It is in fact a different kind of product.

Also, my desktop RTX 3060 is an HP OEM model and runs at 88-92C under full load, and gets just as loud. The 3060 in this R5 typically runs a few degrees cooler.
