Most big name (Acer, Apple, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, ect..) budget pre-built computers like this come with propriety cases, PSU, and motherboards now a days. Everything else are standard size parts (CPU, drives, fans, graphics cards, RAM, ect..) and can be easily upgraded/replaced/swapped.

This Dell system would be a great fit, for home, office, students, coders, CAD, miners, video editors, graphic designers, and even casual gamers. Pretty much everyone except hardcore PC gamer enthusiast that like to build and maintain their own high-end $2000+ systems.

We have 3 of the G5 systems reviewed in that Gamers Nexus video. Ours have GTX1660 graphics cards, 10400F, 500w PS, 16GB ram, and a clean install of Windows 10. All are performing very well and we have not seen any heat or performance issues. My kids play the newest games on them daily (Doom Eternal, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Madden, HOI4, ect.) While simultaneously having YouTube open, a couple web pages, and messenger programs. I feel as though the build quality was quite good for the price I paid. I could not be more satisfied with our purchase.

If you are just an normal person (like 98% of the population) that wants to get a good deal on a good PC that will probably never be opened, and the only real maintenance you do is reinstall Windows ever couple of years to clean the system up. Then this system is perfect for you, and will serve you well for many years to come.

If you have a better deal on a pre-built system with similar or better specs available right now then post it.

Any 3060TI version that allows you to use this or other coupon ? Tried the 10% signup on an Alienware but they wasn't valid and looks like coupon in this thread only works for this config here. Thanks in advance

Garbage thermals, trash CPU cooler, older low-end GPU, proprietary parts that will leave you SOL when warranty is over and it breaks, crappy RAM, crappy storage, non-over clocking CPU.

Man, SUCH a Deal. It's almost as if the only thing of actual value is the $400 GPU.
you probably not the 98% of ordinary ppl, go DIY, this deal is for ppl who just need a decent desktop device to work or study, and gaming....

Is the going price on eBay for the 2060 6 GB really $700????

If so I'd pull it, use the internal graphics and get a 11700, 16/512 for $400.
I just order one. Specs on my order show GPU is actually a NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) RTX 2060 SUPER(TM) 8GB GDDR6 (not 6GB) Smilie

If you can get this for like $700-800, go for it. China has locked down mining and GPUs are starting to come back to earth as they're more available. Which means you can either overpay now if you're impatient, or just wait and get yourself a 3060 Ti or 3070 from a company that doesn't make terrible computers.

Where do you guys see $700 for the 2060? I see a bunch of BINs @ $500, for example:

But the i7-11700 will thermal throttle when gaming due to the inadequate CPU stock cooler. When using the easier to cool i7-10700 the Dell XPS hits 93°C and thermal throttles to 3.9 GHz in Battlefield V according to Dawid Does Tech Stuff.

Therefore, for work or study this PC should be fine but if you want to use this PC for gaming, you will have to upgrade the CPU stock cooler.

I just got this desktop delivered. I can't seem to figure out how to replace the included tray DVD drive with a regular BD drive. Is this not possible??? Seems ridiculous that they included slim DVD drive which are typically used in Laptops in a desktop. I thought it'd be pretty easy swap.

CPU cooler looks flimsy as hell. Only one fan in the whole case and that's on the back side. I also missed the fact that this was white chassis I thought it was black but that's on me for not paying attention. I haven't even turned it on yet so I'll see how this plays out. Power supply is proprietary. It's like a big metal brick and it's on the bottom of the case.

Pretty pissed about the optical drive though.

The Ventroo V5 can use the same mount. There is a noctua cooler that works as well.

I have not noticed that happening on ours but, If I was to get a new fan I was thinking something like this; https://www.newegg.com/thermaltak...klink=true

Wouldnt bother with this now ... China miners are selling their 3060's for cheap ... its going to collapse the GPU market ...
