This Dell system would be a great fit, for home, office, students, coders, CAD, miners, video editors, graphic designers, and even casual gamers. Pretty much everyone except hardcore PC gamer enthusiast that like to build and maintain their own high-end $2000+ systems.
We have 3 of the G5 systems reviewed in that Gamers Nexus video. Ours have GTX1660 graphics cards, 10400F, 500w PS, 16GB ram, and a clean install of Windows 10. All are performing very well and we have not seen any heat or performance issues. My kids play the newest games on them daily (Doom Eternal, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Madden, HOI4, ect.) While simultaneously having YouTube open, a couple web pages, and messenger programs. I feel as though the build quality was quite good for the price I paid. I could not be more satisfied with our purchase.
If you are just an normal person (like 98% of the population) that wants to get a good deal on a good PC that will probably never be opened, and the only real maintenance you do is reinstall Windows ever couple of years to clean the system up. Then this system is perfect for you, and will serve you well for many years to come.

I ordered that today with 512GB SSD but am tempted by this deal due to the i7 vs i5 and less chances of any customization with the Alienware config (this one can probably accommodate a different CPU cooler). I plan on using primarily for MS Flight Sim in VR (Oculus Quest 2).
Thoughts?

Therefore, for work or study this PC should be fine but if you want to use this PC for gaming, you will have to upgrade the CPU stock cooler.

I just want a decent pc for daily use, programming etc and iGPU should be enough, so was planning to sell the gfx card. But these comments about prices going down are concerning. In my area on craigslist the price is <500, I don't know who's selling these for 700?
AMD 5000 series with iGPU is still oem only, and rocket lake is not really that much better than prev gen, for that we have to wait till Alder Lake. But right now due to chip shortages its hard to build a similar pc for less, right?
