Most big name (Acer, Apple, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, ect..) budget pre-built computers like this come with propriety cases, PSU, and motherboards now a days. Everything else are standard size parts (CPU, drives, fans, graphics cards, RAM, ect..) and can be easily upgraded/replaced/swapped.

This Dell system would be a great fit, for home, office, students, coders, CAD, miners, video editors, graphic designers, and even casual gamers. Pretty much everyone except hardcore PC gamer enthusiast that like to build and maintain their own high-end $2000+ systems.

We have 3 of the G5 systems reviewed in that Gamers Nexus video. Ours have GTX1660 graphics cards, 10400F, 500w PS, 16GB ram, and a clean install of Windows 10. All are performing very well and we have not seen any heat or performance issues. My kids play the newest games on them daily (Doom Eternal, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Madden, HOI4, ect.) While simultaneously having YouTube open, a couple web pages, and messenger programs. I feel as though the build quality was quite good for the price I paid. I could not be more satisfied with our purchase.

If you are just an normal person (like 98% of the population) that wants to get a good deal on a good PC that will probably never be opened, and the only real maintenance you do is reinstall Windows ever couple of years to clean the system up. Then this system is perfect for you, and will serve you well for many years to come.

If you have a better deal on a pre-built system with similar or better specs available right now then post it.

Debating this to upgrade my custom PC that's like 8 years old now. It's an i5 6600k, 16gb ram, and 1070 TI. Guts are way better on this, but I have a monster case with a great MB and cooling. Can't decide what to do. 2 AMEX offers means I could get this for $1000ish after tax

You mean you have another Intel board? Anyway since you have 6600K, I suppose you overclock, if you can still play the game at whatever setting you are OK with, just wait out for a better deal. Well I'm still using XPS 8300, sandybridge 2400 and 1060, so you may not want to listen to me LOL
Honestly, I'm also debating whether I want to upgrade now or not, my conclusion is I wanna switch to AMD, so I probably have to DIY later

Since the RTX 2060 is too much grahics card for my needs, are there cheap GPUs (actually available) that would allow me to use a second monitor and at a maximum, play an occasional game on Tabletop Simulator or Among Us?

I checked the minimum GPU requirements for both games, and they seem pretty basic to my untrained eye:

"Tabletop Simulator Minimum Requirements.
Graphics card with DX10 (shader model 4.0) capabilities."

"Among Us requires at least a Radeon HD 3850 or GeForce 9600 GSO 512MB to meet recommended requirements running on high graphics setting, with 1080p resolution. This hardware should achieve 60FPS. 1 GB will also be needed to achieve the Among Us rec specs and get 60FPS"
The onboard video of the system can handle two monitors and I suspect it could handle both of those games as the specs seem quite modest. You could always try it and then fall back on a low-end dedicated card in the future if there are issues.

Actually, this might be a better fit for you and you avoid the hassle of having to sell the video card:

I am also in the market to replace my machine, but it might be worth waiting until Windows 11 is out. I would expect that with people going back to work, that computer manufactures will need to decrease the price to help sell Windows 11 and keep revenue up since not everyone needs a new at home computer. So maybe near the end of the year or black friday may be better. Thoughts? I am similarly going through the AMD vs Intel debate. But i mostly do office, graphics, and video work. I do some occasional gaming, but have two xboxes if I do not want to use my computer for that. I also run a few vmware workstations, so memory is important.

Thanks. I bought this system last week and I already got an additional 16GB of RAM and the Ventroo V5 cooler while I wait for the delivery from Dell. So I'm committed. Smilie

I had a question about the Amex CashBack.

The Amex offer is valid on Dell Business and not Dell Home. This PC is available on the Dell Home website. Is there a workaround.

Dell Business Amex Offer :
Get 10% back as a statement credit by using your enrolled Business Card on eligible purchases online at dell.com/amex or by calling 855-315-5552 by 12/15/2021. Limit of $1,500 in total statement credits. See terms for exclusions.

Dell Home Amex Offer : EXPIRED.
Get a one-time $100 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $500 in one or more transactions online at Dell.com by 4/30/2021

I mean my current build has a better mobo/case setup. My system still does fine, really.

No idea. I'm a noob. The one I ordered was recommended by someone in the recent thread about this same deal last week. Also, this one is double the price.

Yea cuz this kit is 32gb vs 16gb. Think theres a heatsink kit 16gb for half the cost (ie the same cost as yours)

Well that (32GB = 2x price) certainly makes sense.

If I remember correctly, the Crucial one was recommended because it was close to the same specs as the 16GB RAM that shipped with the system. For example, it's a single 16GB stick instead of 2 8GB sticks.

So between that and the heatsink, which consideration is more important? I can still cancel my order of the other 16GB RAM if need be.

Would this be ok for MS Flight Simulator? Or need more power to fully maximize. Thanks in advance
