Most big name (Acer, Apple, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, ect..) budget pre-built computers like this come with propriety cases, PSU, and motherboards now a days. Everything else are standard size parts (CPU, drives, fans, graphics cards, RAM, ect..) and can be easily upgraded/replaced/swapped.

This Dell system would be a great fit, for home, office, students, coders, CAD, miners, video editors, graphic designers, and even casual gamers. Pretty much everyone except hardcore PC gamer enthusiast that like to build and maintain their own high-end $2000+ systems.

We have 3 of the G5 systems reviewed in that Gamers Nexus video. Ours have GTX1660 graphics cards, 10400F, 500w PS, 16GB ram, and a clean install of Windows 10. All are performing very well and we have not seen any heat or performance issues. My kids play the newest games on them daily (Doom Eternal, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Madden, HOI4, ect.) While simultaneously having YouTube open, a couple web pages, and messenger programs. I feel as though the build quality was quite good for the price I paid. I could not be more satisfied with our purchase.

If you are just an normal person (like 98% of the population) that wants to get a good deal on a good PC that will probably never be opened, and the only real maintenance you do is reinstall Windows ever couple of years to clean the system up. Then this system is perfect for you, and will serve you well for many years to come.

If you have a better deal on a pre-built system with similar or better specs available right now then post it.

Alright so this is really bothering me...what options are there to add fans to this case. I tried seeing if the back could be replaced with 120mm but it can't. There's just no damn space. The front has no fans and where it could have housed a nice 120mm fan there's cable management crap and case cover that prevents a fan from being added. To see the difference in GPU temp, I had it measured at 64 degree with the side panel on and without the side panel off the case it dropped to 49 degrees. That's insane difference in temp due to just lack of airflow in this POS case. Hoping someone has done some mods to this thing to cool it better.

You can put a 92mm inside on the back and a 120mm inside front. You can message me with any other questions if you like

When you install the 92 and 120mm fan, where do we plug in the connectors on the motherboard?

Where would you even install a 120mm fan? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4X18zT-bvU4

You will use same connecter on motherboard as the 80mm exhaust fan uses. There is a bracket you would need to mount a 120mm fan in front. The hard drive cage in front will have to be removed

Nope. This card is still going for upwards of $650, so it would sell in an hour at $500.
keep in mind this is most likely a proprietary card, not a aib one... and the fact its a dell means the gpu will be bottom-of-the-barrel.

Exactly. I tried building out something similar to this and it broke $1600. Plus, you could always add more memory, ssd, and if adventurous, try moving it into a new tower to add additional cooling features.
cant move a proprietary board into a standard tower... psu, case, and mobo are non standard (proprietary), and will not want to be moved into a new case

thanks, isn't this better? just checking as i haven't been building my pcs for a looong time. this comes with heatsink as well (there's a 16gb version as well for half the cost i think)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...0DER&psc=1 [amazon.com]
basically keep in mind with the i5 on a locked chipset like it comes on, any ram you install will max out at 2666mt/s (2666mhz), you can still tighten latency and such but 2666 is the fastest it will run at... so buying 3200 ram for it is just a waste unless you plan to upgrade the motherboard or use the ram in another pc someday

Is this a good option for mining along with basic internet/ office usage? I see on nicehash it gives about $2.20 a day so figure it would be a small investment

Buy one from dell is the only way. Or check ebay for the 500w one for this computer
