Lowes Hardware & Tools supervisor here. This was one of the biggest flops we've had in a long long time. In the entire San Antonio district, 16 stores, over a 2 month period, not one has sold.

Looking for a new platform. Are the Kobalt power tools here to stay or are they being phased out to online sales ?
A little gun shy since I moved to Kobalt 80v lawn tools last year and well that's now online only---

As far as any official confirmations we've received, the power tools aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Hand tools might be a different story though. As for all warranty claims, they'll be swapped for craftsman.

Lowes didn't display the power tool and tool storage so the customer can see what they are getting. Customers pass by and think it is only a hanging tool storage. Pretty good deal. the Power tool combo is worth $150-$200.

Father's Day ad 6/10 to 6/23 Lowe's offered the drill, 2Ah battery, and charger in this kit for $89 with a soft case. That leaves $110 for the impact driver and the tool storage unit!

I would wait for the price to go down. No one seems to know you get the power tools with the tool storage.

I wouldn't mind the storage unit, but I already have the drill and driver. Between my Ryobi, Kobalt and Bosch stuff I far exceed what this can hold. Could maybe use it to hold the most frequently used stuff, and then have it as a charging station or something.

If it drops to super low clearance I might pick one up and flip the tools/battery/charger. Sounds like there are plenty in store with low demand.

Still waiting for this to go down in price. No one is really buying these in my area. 1 sold in San Antonio within a year.
