This is the "standard" one I've been waiting for. Not that monstrosity with a 90oz jar. In for one.

Great blender, but incredibly loud. Solidly built, it will clearly outlast my hearing...

I got one with the 96oz jar and spatula thing on prime day for about this price. I needed the larger jar for making tube feed formula, but the larger jars bought separately are VERY expensive, so take that into account depending on what you'll be using it for. And yes, this thing is LOUD. But it blends amazingly. Even tough meat can be blended into perfect smoothie consistency and no lumps at all with added liquid (gag lol).
It also has a cool self cleaning cycle - a little water, drop of dish soap, press a button...wear ear protection as it ramps up because it sounds like a jet... Then you dump and rinse and it's perfectly sparking clean with no scrubbing or trying to clean around the blades.
And yes, ice can be made into slushies super easy. I make energy drink slushies even lol.

I bought the one with the wildlife Jat and spatula, I never had a high end blender like blendtec or vitamix. 1st thing 1st, as other have said it is loud like vacuum cleaner loud maybe a lil louder. With that said, this thing pretty much blends anything I throw at it as long as it can consistently hit the blade (which are dull/blunt by design). Make sure enough liquid is in there and smoothies will come out like at whatever smoothie shop, granulated suger turns to power in seconds. If you are debating between a vitamix or blendtec, don't think you can go wrong with either.

Had a blendtec for about 4 years. Jar recently started having bearing issues that's making the whole thing unusable. Whole thing is out of warranty now. I understand that this isn't everyone's experience, but beware that this isn't uncommon either.

Do you know what size bearing it is? Might be trivial to replace the bearing... unless the plastic around it is cracked.

I thought their warranty ran for over five years (possibly eight years). They track the manufacture date by serial number.

I have one of these blenders and it's worked well.
