I'm productive on just one computer using this.
First, I like the fact it has an automatic clutch that will go from ratcheted scroll wheel to free spin with just a little extra push on the wheel, plus I like the weight of the spin (it will spin for a long time). I have a M720 Triathlon that has a free spinning wheel but it's light and not nearly as accurate or responsive as the MX and the manual switch is far less useful than the auto-clutch on the MX.
Could you post a link of the one you're considering. My only hesitancy behind buying one used is the overall condition and hygienics of it after it became an open box item. I own of these which I bought brand new in 2019 and I notice at times after long-term use, there will be (dried up skin) debris and (sweat) residue that will get lodged into cracks, crannies and crevices of the device. Just throwing my 2 cents out there.
