Subway apparently closed a lot of stores today to train their workers for a new menu overhaul. A lot of articles online say they're giving away a million sandwiches tomorrow to promote the new menu.
Fake tuna... fake bread... "chicken" is 30% chicken... The only thing I get there is the steak sandwich... Probably not real either...
Their breakfast is quite good tho actually... but I never get full at Subway... Hence the BOGO deals they do every few months... fill up on fake bread...
Yeah once I heard the chicken was not all chicken...had sawdust filler or something....ewwww...done with that.
Hard to choose subway especially if theres a publix close by. Subway uses like the least amount and lowest quality of meats compared to any other places i been to so far. Imo even quiktrip subs taste better. Just my opinion. Bogo deal like this makes it more manageable i suppose, but many locations dont even honor it here in atlanta
I was about to ask where the heck is there a Publix and QT but then you said Atlanta I forget QT has finally spread that much out of OK
If say you lose $1 per B1G1 free, you lose $1 from that B1G1 free sale. However if you sold 1000 subs at a B1G1 free, you'll lose $1 x 1000 so you'll be losing $1000 for that higher volume sale
In any viable restaurant business, 1/3 sales price is food cost, 1/3 is wage and operation, 1/3 is profit. Go figure
You're talking about that Trent University thing where their findings were false? Or was their an update to their story? I can care less about Subways reputation, just fact checking you lol
There were studies in Canada and other places... results were less than 50% chicken and I read as low as 30%...
Better give stuff out cheap than to throw it away unsold.

How do the stores make any money when it's B1G1 free for six weeks?

Do you really think it cost them $10 or even $5 to make one footlong?
Think of the number of people that also purchase overpriced drinks and chips to go with their meal. Also look at the number of people that do not order online or do not know about the offer. I bet more sandwiches go out the door with people paying full price than those that are getting in on the offer.
It will be interesting to see whether Subway chooses to appeal this unfavourable decision, because it is unlikely that they will succeed in its leave to appeal. If anything, the takeaway from this case may be to not mask a defamation claim as a negligence claim surrounding pure economic loss, and to not mask soy as chicken in one's sandwiches.
Conclusion: Subway won't own up to masking soy as chicken...

It's less than 1%.. It's like calling kombucha an alcoholic drink.
The point is that you tried making it seem the chicken is fake by saying it's only 30% chicken LOL.
I mean.. screw subway either way but screw the people who try to push their own agenda into the mix. Lol 30%...

2 independent tests were were conducted in Ontario Canada and and Eliza Tech in Florida finding nothing wrong with the chicken, less than 1% soy.
And Trent U did the wrong Food Test on the chicken LOL.

Is there steak and cheese made of 100% beef?
Also, do they have seafood sub? I used to recall some locations did.

P.S. Our Tuna is for real. In fact, we only use Starkist brand.
