Subway apparently closed a lot of stores today to train their workers for a new menu overhaul. A lot of articles online say they're giving away a million sandwiches tomorrow to promote the new menu.
Worked in Hawaii, which is rare. Some locations are pretty terrible but there's one nearby that we like so we ordered. For $4-5 per foot long, it's a great deal and at least at our location.. it was fresh and tasted good.
Footlong Oven roasted chicken breast went up from $7.69 to $8.99 in my area, I asked the employees if they are all making $12-$15 hour now and they all laughed i guess meaning NO.
Other menu items I've ordered went up in price too since I last ordered back in June. As long as they keep giving coupons that make the cost per footlong less than $6 each, I'll continue to go periodically, but I would never pay regular price for their stuff. I used to have that oven roasted chicken until people said it was mostly soy. I hope the ham and turkey aren't mostly fake too. I haven't gotten sick from Subway yet.
When they are finally forced to pay the employees $12-$15 per hour, they will raise prices another $1-$3 per item and blame it on that. Right now they are probably using the extra money to pay for increasing food prices (meat especially) while maintaining their profit margin. I have no idea how many people know what the 4 meat processors who control 80% of the US market (2 of them are foreign owned) are lowering prices on beef to drive ranchers out of business while at the same time jacking up prices of processed meat. They want to drive cattle ranchers out of business to make meat so expensive we are forced to buy synthetic meat, and that's why Gates has been buying so much farmland. Instead of an affordable steak burger you'll have a Gates burger of fake meat produced by Gates Farms, and it won't be long until he and his buddies have driven all the farmers and ranchers out of business and the left's dreams of no meat, green living and total control will be here permanently through the backdoor of companies. I believe the government is soon going to prevent cattle from grazing on government owned lands which will further destroy cattle ranchers. It's all on purpose and by design while most of the American people party in the stock market with free Fed money out of thin air while their heads are buried in the sand. By the time the real damage hits and most people wake up, it will be too late to fix. These small bits of inflation are the tip of the iceberg that the US (AKA Titanic) are going to hit.
I'm glad this is back. I was eating subway everyday Friday and then last week the code didn't work. I was pretty bummed. Guess I'm getting Subway tomorrow

Funny I got newspaper ad for subway with the BOGO coupon saying it 'excludes Cali. Subs'.

I've already had my fill of subway though. Definitely the lowest version of a sub you can buy. Not a bad deal at BOGO tho
