Subway apparently closed a lot of stores today to train their workers for a new menu overhaul. A lot of articles online say they're giving away a million sandwiches tomorrow to promote the new menu.
Agreed that it is lame. Most subways in my area wouldn't allow me to order. A few months ago I was able to order one of these BOGO deals but today I couldn't.

Subway is lame though.
Close to $10 footlong now :/
You have a better deal like $5 footlong, sweet spot for me to eat there but owners can't take it .complain it's too good of a deal.
I don't hear Arby's complain 2 for $6 is too good a deal.
I don't hear Wendy's complain 2 for $4 is too good a deal.
OK whiny Subway Owners, I won't be coming to you anymore.
The average Subway franchise generates around $400,000 in revenue, with profit averaging around $41,000 per year. $41,000 is a very low income for a restaurant owner and Subway corporate efforts to increase profits have failed for years with sales declining. Who would be happy about this?

So maybe they need to look at other reasons for people not interested in Subway? Or, how they are actually running the company?
It CAN'T be at all because a good sale/deal is making them losing money. No promotions actually would make them MORE profit more customers.
THIS kind of model of running a business is only success with your hardcore customers keep returning without any good deals.
Again, I say this because every other fast food restaurants offer good deals EVERYDAY at all times.
You don't see these restaurant complaining about deals running them out of business.
McDonald's, Burger King, Popeyes, Wendy's, look at their apps. Deals on it ALL the time.
FACT is, Subway have no idea what they are doing, if running a door-busting awesome promotion would run them out of business. And I will have NO sympathy whatsoever if Subway is bankrupt for that reason!

If say you lose $1 per B1G1 free, you lose $1 from that B1G1 free sale. However if you sold 1000 subs at a B1G1 free, you'll lose $1 x 1000 so you'll be losing $1000 for that higher volume sale
Don't be afraid to just ask for extra spinach. I see people ask them all the time to add extra veggies that they like and I've never seen anyone turned down. They make it right in front of you so you can quality control the veggies. Extra meat costs more but they don't charge anything to add more leaves of spinach.
Whenever I bought a Subway by my local store I always had to repeat more lettuce, more tomato, more peppers etc literally on every topping as they simply believe in not putting much on unless you ask again for more. Turns me off and so Subway wont see me again unless the sandwich is so cheap it pays
How much is a pound is a pound of meat when you own the place that turns animals into lunch meat?
It doesn't cost much per sandwich for them. Less than $1 or less per 12 inch seems like the price I would imagine they cost if they give out b1g1. They always have coupons, alot of the time there are b1g1 or close to it use the coupons it comes up to like 40% off or so.
