Subway apparently closed a lot of stores today to train their workers for a new menu overhaul. A lot of articles online say they're giving away a million sandwiches tomorrow to promote the new menu.
Whenever I bought a Subway by my local store I always had to repeat more lettuce, more tomato, more peppers etc literally on every topping as they simply believe in not putting much on unless you ask again for more. Turns me off and so Subway wont see me again unless the sandwich is so cheap it pays
I've never had that problem and I like veggies. Maybe a training issue at that Subway you're going to.
Subway is good as dead at this point. I remember the last time they had this coupon I went back to Subway to try it out. Something happened with the bread over time that I just cannot put a finger on. Subway bread in the 90s was so much freaking better and now the bread is nothing. It tastes like generic crap you buy from Walmart.
Their whole image has been on a decline for a while now. There are so many other alternatives for ^^ healthy eating that Subway simply cannot compete with at this price point.
I know inflation is real and we will never see the $5 footlong back as a non-promo but can people really justify spending 11 bucks for the fast food equivalent of a sandwich? I know I won't

You will have to unless you pack your own lunch. All other fast food places have bumped up their prices as well. It sucks but these prices are here to stay with businesses being forced to pay living wages to their staff (rightly so).
After like a week, I still have never been able to use the promo on my computer/Firefox vs using the phone/app. Anyone else having that issue? I ended up having to download the app. Would be much easier for me to use my laptop.
Thanks, OP, though. I've gained a few lbs with this deal. LOL

We just ordered 4 subs. 3 Clubs, and one steak and cheese. Of the clubs, one didn't have a shred of bacon on it. If you're charging 9.49 for a sub that comes with bacon, it better damn well have bacon on it. The steak one had hardly any meat, yet they put about a pound of spinach on it. Very disappointing for a company trying to refresh their image and tout quality.
Also the new club is really just the old subway melt, which I paid 7.99 for right before they ended it a few months ago. I could see raising it a buck, but adding 1.50 to the price seems excessive. Of course a year from now I fear we will be longing for the days of only paying $10 for a sub, or possibly even having ingredients available to make one the way we want.

At the end of the day, it's an underpaid overworked probably working multiple jobs human making the sandwiches. I don't really expect much, yes it's a n unacceptable pricetag with the price hikes on the revamp, like 50 cents more. But it's okay with the BOGO. Although bad for the worker since they've been making more subs due to these promos. Subway employee reddit confirms it's just something corporate does every few years to up their prices.
I do see a whole lot more online to go orders now than in store orders...probably because of the promo and people are tired of waiting 39 mins in line during lunch rush with just one employee available.
