Can't recommend this enough!! This thing is a dream for anyone looking to build a home arcade. Easy to assemble (<1 hour from parts to completion), quality components, full size joysticks and buttons with compatibility for almost any arcade game (Sam's clubs version includes pinball buttons!), great looking monitor and loud/clear speakers, easy to access I/O options (HDMI in, and 2 USB-A ports right on the front panel), tons of customizability (saUCE!!). As a video game collector, this has been the best $500 I've spent to get my retro fix on. There really isn't a better value (other than to DIY build).
I snagged one earlier this year for this price on recommendations from fellow SDers, and it's been awesome. I have three young kids (6 and under), and they love both playing with me on it or on their own. Out of the box, the system feels fairly sturdy and looks great. The builtin games are an odd mix at times with ports from various platforms (arcade, Genesis, etc.) and a surprising number of big licenses (several Disney games, Tetris, etc.). Where it really shines though is the ease in which you can add games (search "Legends saUCE" on Reddit or YouTube) to it with just a USB drive or the ability to plug a PC in to the HDMI and use a USB OTG cable to use the arcade controls with the PC.

Some items to note are that the default warranty sucks (so I'd recommend using a credit card which extends it) and AtGames support isn't great. I personally haven't had issues, but it's something to be aware of. The height is pretty good, but if you're somewhat tall (I'm 6' and it effects me), you will probably want stools or a riser (I got some sick Star Wars ones from Home Depot, A1Up also has cool ones). Although it supports some light guns, there's a huge shortage due to the ongoing chip shortage and no sign of them coming soon. Finally note the built in chip can only play through the mid 90s type games/emulators and you'd need an external PC for anything more modern (particularly anything 3D).

Overall I would definitely recommend it for anyone who still has nostalgia for classic gaming/arcades. I had been planning on building one at some point, but with the crazy price of wood, that plan had been put on hiatus. This has now totally filled that desire and probably for a lot cheaper than DIY.
Outstanding price. Easily worth $500.

Yes, easy, super easy. I've had this since 2019. Best bang for your bucks easily
Concur. It's my favorite fixture in my home. Every guest wants to play, and always their favorite game is already "sauced" on it.
It is NOT full size, it's closer to 90% and shallower so it doesn't take up a bunch of unneeded space. The bottom is TOTALLY empty, so you can install a mini fridge or put in a PC and run whatever you want.
This one comes with the pinball buttons on the sides which are also very cool.

If you're over 5'10", I recommend getting a riser from BuyStuff. It's $60-100, but totally changes the feel of the cab and makes it very comfortable to play. They have 3 and 5" risers in case you're crazy tall. I got the 3" riser and love it.

The 2 player version has been $99 a few times this year, but appears to be full price right now:

I got the standalone from those sales as well. While great and has been used all over my house, it's difficult to not use the deck hardwired for something more input or time sensitive. I've been in the habit now of turning in pacman more than a second in advance due to the lag. Either way it's had not to enjoy it.

This is great, but I would recommend the stand alone if you don't want to be tethered. I got two of them from Walmart for $99 and the ability to use them on any projector, TV or monitor is well worth the traditional feel sacrifice.

Thanks so much for the link!!! I thought standalone was the product name : )

So the two player controller was 99??? Man wish I scored that.
Is this basically the same thing minus the screen/cabinate of the one on sale???

The legends gamer pro (the standalone one) has 150 games, a subset of this one's 300 games. I use mine with a vertical tv to play steam pinball games.

The standalone is called "atgames legends pro".

As cool as this thing is, i would have just built my own if i could go back in time. It's loaded with features, but i spend more time working around their software than using it. My biggest complaint (currently) is that xinput usb controllers are not recognized. I was hoping to build two more joysticks and play 4 player arcade games but unless atgames updates the firmware to recognize this standard control board it's a no-go. I can connect these joysticks to a rpi, but as i said i could have built this for cheaper had i known that.

i will say though that, ironically, their 3rd party controller support is pretty great. i was surprised to discover that both my logitech, ps4, and even my ps3 controllers were plug and play with a usb hub! That makes it even more surprising that generic xinput controllers dont work.

No, it requires assembly. The top half with the LCD is one unit, but the bottom half consists of boards that need to be screwed together. The top half then mounts on top of the bottom half (with screws) and the control deck then mounts to that. Not very difficult to assemble if you can do Ikea furniture.

I also second this as an awesome buy, especially with the Sams Club deal (less than retail and includes the pinball buttons). Out of the box it is has a lot and with the ability to expand through UCE files or the HDMI/USB/Bluetooth inputs, can do almost anything you want. I've got the 1.0 and 1.1 versions and both are pretty solid.

I'd also recommend getting the ALP (Arcade Legends Pinball) if you ever see it back up for sale from Sams Club. While their price isn't any lower than buying it from AtGames, the return policy from Sams Club will be better than having to return to AtGames if something breaks or arrives damaged.

For $100 more you can mod an Arcade 1up with Retropie.
You can also connect a Pi running Retropie directly to the ALU and have a much better cab and control deck than you'll find on any Arcade1up (I say that as someone who has 2 ALUs and at least 6 Arcade1up cabs...2 of them modded and running Retropie).

I am 5'11" and the 3" riser is perfect for me. I would guess the 5" would be better for you. The riser definitely made it more comfortable. The BuyStuff team is very helpful if you have questions and the fit of the riser is perfect, actually was a little tricky getting the cabinet onto it as it fits so well it is almost seamless.

Great price, arcade1up has been moving up their retail prices to offset the increased wood costs. Getting this cabinet instead for the price of most new arcade1ups? Yes please.

That is a lot of work compared to hacking one of these which just requires USB flash drives to hack it. Plus A1ups have a tiny 17" screen, this has a 24" inch.
