Can't recommend this enough!! This thing is a dream for anyone looking to build a home arcade. Easy to assemble (<1 hour from parts to completion), quality components, full size joysticks and buttons with compatibility for almost any arcade game (Sam's clubs version includes pinball buttons!), great looking monitor and loud/clear speakers, easy to access I/O options (HDMI in, and 2 USB-A ports right on the front panel), tons of customizability (saUCE!!). As a video game collector, this has been the best $500 I've spent to get my retro fix on. There really isn't a better value (other than to DIY build).
I snagged one earlier this year for this price on recommendations from fellow SDers, and it's been awesome. I have three young kids (6 and under), and they love both playing with me on it or on their own. Out of the box, the system feels fairly sturdy and looks great. The builtin games are an odd mix at times with ports from various platforms (arcade, Genesis, etc.) and a surprising number of big licenses (several Disney games, Tetris, etc.). Where it really shines though is the ease in which you can add games (search "Legends saUCE" on Reddit or YouTube) to it with just a USB drive or the ability to plug a PC in to the HDMI and use a USB OTG cable to use the arcade controls with the PC.

Some items to note are that the default warranty sucks (so I'd recommend using a credit card which extends it) and AtGames support isn't great. I personally haven't had issues, but it's something to be aware of. The height is pretty good, but if you're somewhat tall (I'm 6' and it effects me), you will probably want stools or a riser (I got some sick Star Wars ones from Home Depot, A1Up also has cool ones). Although it supports some light guns, there's a huge shortage due to the ongoing chip shortage and no sign of them coming soon. Finally note the built in chip can only play through the mid 90s type games/emulators and you'd need an external PC for anything more modern (particularly anything 3D).

Overall I would definitely recommend it for anyone who still has nostalgia for classic gaming/arcades. I had been planning on building one at some point, but with the crazy price of wood, that plan had been put on hiatus. This has now totally filled that desire and probably for a lot cheaper than DIY.
Outstanding price. Easily worth $500.

How robust is this thing? Thinking of putting it in a vacation rental but worried it would get destroyed compared to a commercial machine, but it's a lot cheaper.
was thinking of doing the exact same thing. Would be a great selling point on rainy days or when parents want the kids to get away!

Looked like a great deal but after a summer of expenses and growing Inflation I decided to cancel and reassess next year.

I think it's upon check out. Definitely get it though - the factory warranty is only 30 days. Mine died in right under 90 days. Sam's took it back, but I couldnt believe the factory warranty was only 30 days.
I chatted with Sam club and they said that it is not an option to add the warranty. They referred me to Allstate/Squaretrade who offered it first for $84, then after pushing back said they could do it for $67. Someone commented on this warranty to see if it would apply to the Arcade, but looks like they never got a response:

My wife, who doesn't know about arcades.. if I get this and put it in the house.. what I can I tell her it is?

I'll have to remove or not apply any of the "game" looking stickers.

I purchased both the machine and that warranty. Not sure I see any reason why it wouldn't apply based on the details listed on that page.

Tell her it's your house too, and it'll keep you from annoying her?

What protection plan do I add for this? It isn't automatically coming up when I add to cart or check out?

THANK YOU OP!!!!!! I have been checking Sam's Club almost daily for over a month waiting for this to get back in stock. I also joined because the handling fee of $50 goes away if you join for $45. I tried the link shared above, so maybe I'll be eligible for a gift card, but probably not becuase the closest Sam's Club is a few hundred miles away. I'm very happy to have gotten this ordered. Used my Costco Citi card to add 2 more years of warranty to it as well.

*BUYER BEWARE*

I don't usually comment negatively on products but I bought this from a prior Walmart deal posted here. It worked great until about after 20 plays (mostly Golden Tee when friends/family were over) when the track ball went out.

I emailed support and they knew exactly what it was (translation -- this happens often) and their response was I need to order a new trackball since it's a few weeks past the 30 day warranty and to install myself.

Pretty horrendous customer service and they obviously don't stand by their clearly flawed product. Buy at your own risk.
