Some items to note are that the default warranty sucks (so I'd recommend using a credit card which extends it) and AtGames support isn't great. I personally haven't had issues, but it's something to be aware of. The height is pretty good, but if you're somewhat tall (I'm 6' and it effects me), you will probably want stools or a riser (I got some sick Star Wars ones from Home Depot, A1Up also has cool ones). Although it supports some light guns, there's a huge shortage due to the ongoing chip shortage and no sign of them coming soon. Finally note the built in chip can only play through the mid 90s type games/emulators and you'd need an external PC for anything more modern (particularly anything 3D).
Overall I would definitely recommend it for anyone who still has nostalgia for classic gaming/arcades. I had been planning on building one at some point, but with the crazy price of wood, that plan had been put on hiatus. This has now totally filled that desire and probably for a lot cheaper than DIY.

You can add all the games you want to this.
I'll have to remove or not apply any of the "game" looking stickers.
If something does break with your ALU, you should understand that whether or not your ALU is under warranty, if they send a replacement part to you, it will be the part that needs to be replaced and not the entire cabinet or not the entire control deck. You will need to take things apart and replace the broken part on your own. And the 30-day warranty is pretty ridiculous for something this expensive...but that's what it is.
That said, I still consider the ALU a great arcade cabinet for the price and far superior to the A1Up cabinets.
And by the way, if something breaks with an Arcade1Up cab, it is basically the same situation...they will put you through hell trying to get a replacement part, the parts are often out of stock, and you will be expected to replace the part yourself, whether it is the LCD, the PCB or a defective joystick or button. So I think this self-service approach and fairly terrible customer support is "par for the course" (Golden Tee pun for you) with these types of arcade cabinets.
Regarding the ALU trackball...yes, there have been some issues with the trackballs in the past where the supports for the trackball's roller bearings/shafts were not well supported and could break under heavy (or maybe even not very heavy) use.
Some guy designed 3D-printable supports to help prevent this problem and either sells the parts inexpensively or you can get the STL files for free and print them yourself. Many people have done this to either repair or prevent the problem from occurring, but it's true that this is a kind of DIY task that some people are not able or not interested in doing.
I haven't done it my my 2 ALUs (v1.0 and v1.1), but I'm also not a heavy user of the trackball. I did buy an extra trackball (about $50 + shipping) from AtGames so I'd have one around if mind did break, but to be fair to the poster, this isn't typically something most people should need to do.
I've heard that the latest trackballs (such as the one in the ALP arcade control deck) is better designed, so maybe the newer ALUs are starting to include the newer trackball, but I can't say for sure.
For many of the people buying the ALU or A1Up cabinets, a bit of tinkering like this isn't a big deal. Many of us have probably considered building our own cabinets from scratch, but are very happy with the ALU because it gives us nearly all of the benefits of a custom-built cabinet (with a solid and very flexible control deck and options for expansion) at a very good price (less expensive than building your own cabinet from scratch in most cases) and with a very small investment of time. For most people it will work reliably and should last a long time w/o issues, but if something does go wrong, it will require some effort and money to get it working again.
Then you need another flash drive to store your UCE files (and art files for CoinOpsX). Actually, you can take a single flash drive, partition it and use the first partition as the FlashDriveX and the second, larger partition for storing the UCE and art files.
Then you find your SaUCEy files, dump them on your larger drive/partition and run another app which does some magic to make everything ready for your ALU.
You can either play the UCE formatted games by accessing them using the AddOnX feature, or go to the AppStoreX page and run CoinOpsX which will make them available with the flashy CoinOpsX interface.
monitor is ok
paid 450.00 on BF 2020
got a same plus member and saved another 100 bucks i think the same day
bought 3 returned 1 because the POS cabinet was broke. This is from china good luck with customer support they suck , not friendly and will blame you for the damage. Typically chinese attitude. When i returned the 3rd i kept the montior parts and control panel/speakers. I gave them A FU return and kept the other 2 which has dust behind the plexi glass to this day. You cant fix this
arcade one up is USA based customer service with easy part replacement if damaged. but still like legends cab better.

I found a Reddit thread with the same problem I just experienced >> https://www.reddit.com/r/LegendsU...trol
After more research the board part HA8801-CTR-v2.1 is having problems >> https://www.reddit.com/r/LegendsU...ce_s
(And a better replacement board is labeled v2.3 or higher, but atgames charges you $40 for the part.)
Bad board reddit discussion for same part in ALU cabinet >> https://www.reddit.com/r/LegendsU...d_al
---------------------
So I found out the hard way that the Legends Gamer also has a chance to develop this same bad boards (in the control deck) suddenly without warning. So this must be a common problem found in all the Legends Ultimate cabinets and Gamer pros. Resetting the firmware on the hub puck probably won't make a difference since this is a HARDWARE PROBLEM.
I still have 1 out of 2 Gamer Pros working. But I may be out of luck and have to keep it around as parts as is (if I can't figure out how to get this working again)...I am out of the 90 day warranty, and I didn't pay for the extended warranty so may have to pay for the repair. Plus the other unit may eventually stop working like this. I don't know if the electronic board will be easy to repair on our own. ---I found in the reddit thread that it may cost $40 to send out another board.
What's worse is, I hardly used it for the past few weeks and all of a sudden today it doesn't work.. So these things may be finicky and not made to last...
Now I see why it may be good idea to steer clear from Legends Arcade products. They should atleast give you a 1 year replacement parts, but they don't do that. They leave you hanging relying on your warranty with the store, so you can only return it.
The materials alone on the cabinet are worth at least $300+:eg.wooden cabinet, control deck with buttons, joysticks, trackball, 2 spinners,
24" screen, built in board with 2 USB and hdmi ports, and built in speakers.
Doubt this will ever be discounted for less than $350. But getting a perfect unit may be hit or miss.
