Can 100% confirm you can NOT upgrade anything internally with this specific variant, the emmc storage is soldered onto the board, there is also no second storage slot to add an additional SSD. This is the entry level variant for this model so nothing internally, RAM & storage included, can be altered.

A VERY good chromebook.

I know a lot of people say Chromebooks don't need "BIG/POWERFUL" processors, but once you do you'll never go back to the small processors.

ChromeOS scales it well, I doubt it is at native resolution.

Most Chromebooks scales their screen resolution.

For instance the Chromebook I'm on now a Dell Inspiron 14 Chromebook with a 1920x1080 screen displays at 1536 x 864.

The best thing about Chromebooks is when they get powerwashed, they're in basically new state software wise. Easy to sell and buy. Buy it used and open it up and in a few minutes you verify everything works.

The last gen i5 8gb ram model has gotten down to $429 recently. Wouldn't be surprised to see that price again shortly as they clear out inventory. That's the absolute best deal in Chromebooks going today.
