I use the "Audio Visual-Direct" brand and they work better than this or Quartet.
I also use audio visual direct and they have been great, we have 2 4x3 and one 8ft monster.

I have a Quartet one and its flimsy, bent, and the marker tray falls once-in-a-while. Other than that it...works
Pretty sure glass doesn't bend. Are you talking about glass dry erase boards?

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

You can make one for cheap, I find a window or a pane of glass the right size for sale used on facebook market or craigslist or just sitting outside, and spray paint one side, I typically use white but you can use any color you can get your hands on. The non painted side will be fine for dry erase markers. The last one I made, I laid down a 7 column and 6 rows with thin strips of duct tape to make a perpetual calendar, where you can plan up to 6 weeks in advance and every 2-3 weeks you just erase the past dates and use it to plot future dates, just alternate 2 colors for each month. I personally think I get better results and sometimes cheaper than even dry erase surfaces you apply directly to the wall.

Ubrands vs Quartet..,..anyone have opinion/ user experience?
I have the Ubrands one and am happy with it. Pretty heavy duty, came with a guide for mounting(though I've since moved it twice and both times just use like a big piece of cardboard to make a new one, so easy enough if it doesn't come with it anymore).

It's magnetic but only very slightly - weaker magnets won't stick well.

- Eh well it says non magnetic on the post, maybe I'm thinking it's the wrong one.

Just put up a ubrands frosted glass (white) today. Love it. Solid to wall. Hardware hidden. Slick. Writes nicely.

It's made of glass. So I'd assume non-magnetic unless it explicitly states otherwise.

What are the recommended markers you use?
Would use quartet. Just keep that board clean.

This is the real deal. Are you looking for single or double pane?

I've had this for a few years. Mounting was fine, looks great. My only issue is that liquid chalk markers are harder to erase than dry erase, but other than that, I enjoy mine quite a bit

I think single would be better, I think double would have too many shadows

Interesting idea. I like it!
How do you hang yours up on the wall?

Typically I do this with windows so there's some framing material that can be used to hang the board on the wall, if it was larger and without a frame, you can use mirror mounting hardware, just make sure there's enough to keep it secure and safe.
