Got these for about $140 or $150 about 18 months ago IIRC. The headband feels cheap and plasticy, but…

Comfortable and good balanced sound. Can't go wrong at this price point.

Thank you. Bought mine three weeks ago for $150 and I'm going to try to get the difference refunded.

Update: Drop refunded me the price difference with an email request.

I have both and I would say the X2 are better for gaming/movies as they have more bass, soundstage is great, and you can slap a v-moda boompro mic and you're good to go.

The 58X are better for music imo as they are more detailed and have amazing mids, so it's preference, really. I always switch out between the 2 headphones.

I got these and returned them. For the price I went with the 560s. I like those much better. At this sale price though these are definitely worth it.

Got these open box for 90$ otherwise I'd for sure buy these. Sound great and also use for gaming with razr siren mic.

Had these for a few years now. Love them. Can use them all day without tiring out my ears. They aren't noise cancellation but i prefer to use these during zoom calls or chatting since I'm able to hear my own voice when speaking (unlike noise cancelling headphones).

TLDR; lifetime item, and great for zoom calls

Anyone have luck with the $10 discount? I cannot seem to get it apply to a new account despite the notification the discount should apply.

Nevermind, you have to use the link from the email AND add the item from that specific webpage; not from browsing drop.com.

Yeah, this was my bad. I had the headphones in the cart earlier and the discount wasn't applying. I had to add the headphones from the special link to get the discount to apply, but it worked in the end. Glad to snag a pair at such a low price.

I've been on the fence about spending the money on the 6XX. This is perfect and just about the same quality for nearly half the price. Really excited to get my ears on these with the hybrid velour ear cups.
I have both and am wearing the 58x as we speak. Personally, I think the 6xx are noticeably better headphones sound-quality wise. I very often get the sensation where I feel like I am in a room surrounded by sound and can place where certain parts are coming from across the room. Clarity is a bit better as well. that said the 6xx are a bit more picky about power and source. The 58x can be driven by almost anything (like this laptop) and still sound pretty darn great. I think I use the 58x more because of this. Either way, you will be happy.

IMO these are the best headphones for the price. I recommend these over the 6xx for both sound and that you don't need a dac amp. I got them for $150 about 2 years ago and they are still my daily drivers.
They are 150 ohm how do you not need a dac/amp for these???
