No, its more a graphic adventure style game. Move around character, interact with objects, talk to NPC and make dialog choices, solve puzzles, etc.

Tales from the Borderlands is the best one of this genre and does have the goofy black comedy tone of the larger franchise.

This one isn't depressing, because one of the insufferably annoying characters gets the ending they deserve.

The twist to the game is you have ability to rewind time at key moments.
The time rewinding is only in the first game. Before the Storm traces Chloe's friendship with Rachel and is a prequel to Life Is Strange.

Thanks for the correction!

My wife is the one that plays the Life is Strange series so sometimes I mix them up. I know she is pumped up about the remaster collection coming out as well as the next edition in the series where the main character is empathetic and able to sense others emotions.

Picked up a while ago at target clearance. Simply pleasant game if you get tired of action FPS and you want something different.

If you like games that are basically interactive movies like tell tales series then this is a great deal. I have hue lights and a syncbox on a ps5 and this game is very entertaining. Hard pass on the remastered versions tho. It's a shame they refuse to continue the series or build off the characters.

That's a good call out, but I actually felt this Dev did a great job trying to match the feel of the original (despite some different mechanics). Although it came out later, BTS is a prequel to the original LiS game; I haven't played LiS2 yet, but I don't think there's much of any relation to that.

Overall I enjoyed the original LiS more than BTS, but this one definitely had some pretty awesome moments. The music and character development was great, and I would definitely recommend it to any fans of the original.

Obviously the genre is not for everyone, but this is a solid entry.
