I don't want to drill into the wall to hold a vacuum, the lg stand is much nicer
This one comes with an extra 2in1 cleaning attachment, extra battery, and soft hard floor cleaning head. I ordered this last time and it works great, looked brand new and batteries last quite a long time. It comes with a 2 yr warranty so you shouldn't have to worry about it being a refurb.
The $250 one at Costco doesn't come with the hardwood head like this one which includes both one for carpet and hardwood. The $250 one also doesn't come with a 2nd battery, I don't believe. If you don't plan on vacuuming hardwood then it shouldn't matter to you, but I can say that I do notice a significant difference using the hardwood roll on my hardwood vs the carpet head. As far as the extra battery, I honestly don't think I've ever used my spare as one battery has always been enough for me and I have a relatively large home.

I bought this same model as this OP from Costco when it was on sale for $350. If buying for myself, I would save the money and go with a refurb (from everything I've ready people were quite happy with their refurbs), but mine was a gift and paid a bit extra for the presentation plus the Costco return policy if there were issues.

Battery is always the biggest concern on most similar cordless vacs.
It's no wonder why a lot of these are being sold as refurbs

Mine came to today and is in new condition and it is amazing the way LG designed this. The stand has a place for everything and is really sturdy. All the parts seem well made and the attachments and extra batteries are great! The filters easy to clean and the canister easy to empty. I am very happy with this vacuum and Slick Deals deal.

Mine came in today as well. Filter in the vacuum had a hair in it. Batteries are scuffed up and one has 05/2020 as its date and 09/2020 as it's date. Vacuum is definitely not brand new as it also had scratches and stuff. Hopefully the batteries aren't super used already.

Where do I put the extra hard floor/carpet motorized head? I only see places to put the extra 2 small attachments.

When you set up the stand, there is black piece that slides over the the vertical pieces of the stand. This piece has a little notch in it to hold the floor tool. This picture shows the two heads stowed.(the head in the picture is a bit different).

I was watching the following review for the LG CordZero A9 and the vlogger indicated a better bang for the buck would be the Tineco A11: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgCaUPpFxjY

Big negatives are:
1. Price
2. Small dustbin
3. Average overall score on hardwoods
4. Subpar performance with crevices

His review on the Tineco A11 is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6D-nfiL9vo
It also got very good scores with another vacuum review vlogger that is highly reputed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mgm6LzKTw7E

You can get a Tineco A11 Hero brand new (with full warranty) for a little more than this refurb: https://www.amazon.com/Tineco-Cor...333&sr=8-3

The Tineco A11 Hero seems to also get a lot of love on Amazon.

I'd really like to get a Tineco A11 Master which includes the soft roller brush (as it does really well on hardwood floors) but I haven't found a lot of sites that have it available for purchase. You can purchase the soft roller brush extra for $80 by going through the Tineco site.

EDIT.....

The Tineco has new model numbers now.

There's the Tineco Hero, Hero EX, Tango and MasterPlus. For a comparison of all the different models see here: https://vacuumcleanerreviewszone....-1690.html

When I researched the A11 it made me want to get the S12. The S12 is supposedly made with Sturdier materials.

Here's a direct comparison between the LG A9 & the Tineco A11. As you can see l the Tineco compares very favorably for over half the price:
https://vachq.com/lg-cordzero-a9-...o-a11-hero

BTW, according to the linked article above the A9 does not come with HEPA filtration. Is this true?

Seen vids where the S12 didn't rate very well:

I just messaged the seller and he refunded me 20%

Thanks! I just reached out.

My vac came in today… everything looks brand new! Super impressed. The only part that didn't look new was the base of the stand. Had some dust on it. Batteries are may and June of 2020. But with the 2 year warranty I don't really care lol

Quote from Buckeyefan 1 :
Vacuum cleaners used to last 10-20 years. And no one was filling landfills with discharged batteries. Now we are paying 3x more for something that will last 1/3 as long, have a fraction of the cleaning power, and being forced to buy extended warranties up to a pathetic 3 or so years because of the poor technology. Anyone here studying the environmental effects from spent batteries? At what point did someone decide we needed power to clean a hard floor? Sorry for the rant, but sometimes one needs to look at the bigger picture here.
I agree with you on the environmental issues you noted. Though same can be said with electric cars and the batteries that power them.

That being said there are several notable benefits owning these types of cordless vacuums:

1. Reduction in weight (which can be significant if you are dragging a vacuum up and down stairs on a weekly basis),
2. Increased portability (no need to deal with being in the proximity of a plug as well as needing to constantly unwrap/rewrap long plug cables)
3. Small footprint (storage concerns)
4. Cleaning adaptability (tons of accessories to increase utility and this can be used as a regular vacuum or broken down to be used as a hand vacuum in tight spaces (such as a car or vaccuming furniture)

Your statement about the sharp decline in product reliability is an unfortunate acceptance of consumers expectation of products across the board. Dishwashers, cars, TVs, refrigerators, etc are all expected to last 5 years (at best) and then be thrown out and replaced. None of these products are easy to repair or maintained by the typical owner to extend their lifespan. Companies are more driven to create products that will fail sooner (i.e. after their warranty ends) forcing the consumer to spend money for a replacement than to design more reliable equipment to build consumer brand confidence. Vaccuums that do have high reliability and can be repaired tend to be very expensive (see Oreck).

I see the tab on the attachment but no way to connect it to the stand.
