Costco Wholesale has the "Simplehuman Rechargeable Sensor Soap Dispenser, 2-pack" for $49.97 in stores (B&M). The price label also had the * which i believe means they are not going to be reordered. I bought one 2 pack at a store in the Bay Area, California.

I think this is a great deal given just 1 is going for this price at amazon. Also, currently they are being sold online for $69.99 (including shipping and handling)
and include a "$10 manufacturer's savings is valid 7/12/21 through 7/16/21. While supplies last"

Good luck finding it at the same price at a Costco near you

Don't use these in your bathrooms if you take steamy showers. The condensation will activate the motion sensor and it'll keep dispensing soap until the steam goes away

The packaging said it has a 2 year warranty. One possible consideration.

Its a deal-breaker if this problem is bad. Nobody wants to end up with a fully drained container of soap after every shower.

Wonder how other auto-dispensers avoid this problem, or do they all have this issue too?

Looking for a recommendation for a soap dispenser of this type. In-law has an Umbra that's been working for a while.

If you get it from Costco, they will definitely take care of customer service if these breakdown in about 2-year period. That's the benefit of paying the yearly membership.

I have to imagine that some of the complaints over these are over stated. There are thousands of 4-5 Star reviews on these.

I bought a pack of these a month or two ago and haven't experienced the problems that others are stating. I just bought another pack of 2 because I like them so much. I guess I'll hang on to my receipt in case they do though.

Do these follow regular Costco return policy? Because if they die in a year or so I can just return them

I bought a cheap ass aliexpres $5 soap dispenser that uses aaa batteries and I sealed all ways of water ingress with silicone paste. At this rate it will never fail on me. I don't know how simple human manage to mess this up. Just seal the facking thing shut or use conformal coating.

This is a fail product. Only hold small volume soaps. The battery life do not last long too. It is for decoration or seldom use.
