Yes...
Only if they sell Costco gift card. Most well-known gas brands are at least 10% more expensive than other local smaller gas stations.

Even though it says it's not valid for it? It still issues the credit? In store or online?

I have it on my Blue cash preferred card.

Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer valid in-store and online at BestBuy.com® only. Valid at any participating location in the US and US Territories. See merchant website for shipping policy. Some merchants may not ship to all areas. Not valid for e-gift card purchases. Excludes corporate gift card purchases. Not valid at outlet locations. Excludes Best Buy Express, Geek Squad services not purchased through Best Buy, Best Buy Parts Store, Best Buy Direct, Best Buy Education, Best Buy Ignite, Best Buy Secondary Markets, Best Buy Private Store & Auction, any Best Buy retail location not open for business and standalone Pacific Sales stores. Offer is non-transferable. Limit of 1 statement credit per Card Member. The enrolled Card account must not be cancelled or past due to receive statement credit. Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied. Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 9/15/2021, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items from your qualifying purchase have been provided/shipped by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer.

They should throw in another $10 for reading all that.

Where do you live that non-Costco gas is 30¢ more expensive at $3/gal or 40¢ more at $4/gal?

If you have T-Mobile, you get $0.10 off every week. Add in the Gold $0.05 (from filling up so much with T-Mobile) and that's $0.15. That is enough to balance the discount from BJ's/CostCo. Then add in the discount from Upside gas app (which is anywhere from $0.01 to as high as $0.20, depending on the station and time of day) after the $0.15 T-Mobile/Shell discount is figured in (Upside reduces the reward by $0.03 if you use Shell rewards).

Thanks op sadly just spent 1k there yesterday
Anytime I'm spending over $100 I'm gonna be checking my Retail Me Not app on my phone to see if there's coupons or discounts available for that particular store.
