I own these and they are fantastic, also picked up a KMMIN Airpods Pro Protective Case Cover Dual-Layer Silicone with Anti-Lost Carabiner for about $6 comes with anti-lost cord, clip (keychain), AirPods strap and storage box together with your AirPods Pro case cover!
Did you also purchased a hello kitty t-shirt to go with all the other stuff?
Honestly I am happy with cheap imitations of airpods that only cost $15. Good sound and mic. I'm glad I didn't spend $100+ on airpods. To each his own though
I thought the same. I think we were thinking about sound and portability. Because there are no cheap imitations to the features that are unique to AirPods Pro that I know of (transparency mode, instant connect to other apple devices). When I did not own them, I didn't see these as valuable as I do now that I own them.
I also own several of the lower cost buds. Ankers (three models), Aukey, Razer, JBL.. I'm not an audiophile but I got all of these fairly cheap.
I have not used any of them after I started using my AirPods Pro; It was not because of the sound, portability or fit. But the unique features that I can not find cheaply elsewhere. If some has some suggestions, please share. Otherwise, I don't think there is a cheap comparison yet.
I've got some ocean front property in Montana if anyone wants some...
Money is relative. The more you make, the less significant lower amounts are. When I was a child, a gift of $10 was huge to me.
But I do understand what you mean. I think a lot of us are grateful to live in a world where the tech exists and to have the ability to afford them. I know I am.

You're right. $200 is too low. That's why I spent $299 on Master & Dynamic MW08 buds instead. Now I'm the guy my friends have to keep up with.
Thanks for making me see the light.
Seriously though, to each their own with buds and money. As someone already posted, money is relative as are one's priorities, and you shouldn't chastise people for how they spend. I own cheap dollar store buds and APP too (and I really do have MW08's) but they all serve different purposes for me.
Isn't it past time for Apple to update these? I know it's been rumored to be included in the last couple product launches. What we got were the Beats air buds but I wonder if Apple is pushing to get into a higher end market than what Beats represents.

1) Are these a major upgrade over AirPods?
2) Do these give you that stuffed head feeling like most earplug type headphones?
1) no. Not big difference in sound quality. I was disappointed. Noise cancelation yes. Welcome improvements
2) no. They do not.

People have just lost all logic.

$197 is a good price on APP at present.

1) in terms of sound, it's the same. But the noise cancellation on pro is nice.
