Well it has 'mini' in the name - I believe it's designed to be a compact ATX case that supports watercooling. In order to save space Lian Li would have needed to make a few compromises. Most people no longer use 3.5" drives in their primary computer, and with the almost ubiquitous use of m.2 drives in new builds, the need for 2.5" drives is also declining.
