If you were to look at 3 parameters, brightness, contrast and viewing angles, the VA, IPS and OLED panels excel in 2 of the 3 parameters.
If you need the viewing angles, it is OLED or IPS.
If you need brightness, it is the VA.or IPS.
If you need the contrast then it is definitely OLED and bleed over to VA.
I have a bright room, wide seating area, and play games, so this LG Nano cell hits those marks.
There are VA panels by Samsung and Sony that includena layer to increase the viewing angle, which reduces brightness and contrast a slight bit, but you are looking into paying +50% to 100% more for the brightness of this TV.
The drawback for this gaming TV is the dark details, which you may not notice if you do not have a TV to compare side by side.
