Not bad, def thumbs up for a 5800x and the 3070 those 2 pets alone make up for 85% of the this system value.

Um pretty big since the TGP is way higher on a desktop. I'd say performance gap is like at least 33% higher on the desktop variant.

Thanks, I know they aren't comparable and that's a great link for putting some hard numbers to it.

I ask in one sense because even though SD is great, it inspires gear lust and envy. But if you don't have a need to be mobile gaming... the desktop or a egpu seems to be a better solution in the long run.

Definitely not a good time to buy. If you hold off we'll get these a lot cheaper. Don't give in, these are still overpriced on a builders perspective..
