$194 was the lowest price ever for this (IIRC), but that was back before RP added 3GB to the old 5GB plan to create this one.

Best price for this newer 8GB plan was ~$204; could be coming around again in a month or so, certainly for BF. Maybe lower, even.

Also, just saw first ever RP TV commercial, could be going world-class (or at least trying to).

.
Go with Mint which uses T-Mobile towers. If you buy the annual plan, it'll cost you $15/month for 4GB, unlimited text and talk. I would go with Mint anytime (unless you have issues with T-Mobile coverage in your area).
How do you do that?

So many problems with RP. I had ATT sim on Pixel 3a and phone wouldn't make or receive voice calls unless forced into 3G mode. It work correct for 2 months then did this. After endless hours with useless tech support, they sent me a Verizon sim. That worked except with Verizon on RP on Android there is no visual voicemail, no hotspot, and no Wifi calling! Moved back to Mint Mobile and everything is perfect from day one.

I'm still on the old T-Mobile $30/mo. 3GB, 100 text, 100 min. plan. This seems better. Thoughts?

My particular experience with Red Pocket was great. I switched to Visible to have unlimited LTE/5G data + they had a great deal on a new iPhone. Otherwise, I would've 100% stayed with RP. If I ever leave Visible, I'm definitely going back to RP

I would rather just spend $300 a year for Visible and have unlimited with hotspot. Is it worth saving $80 a year? I guess for some.

I don't think so. When you buy an annual plan, you always get this price.

The plan costs $180/year (i.e. $15/month) and is available for existing users, not just new.

Assuming you don't want things like wifi calling, gimped 5g and they don't cover att. If you want att this is a reasonable alternative to att prepaid without na roaming or rollover.

My cousin did move to USM seems happy but does complain about Verizon deprioritization and lack of wifi calling but he dealt with that on redpocket prior. He is on Android and USM support for Android is poor. iphone much better.

I have to switch my yahoo mobile within a few days... but looking more for something that is unlimited calls and texts, BUT not unlimited data... because I would be fine probably with just 1gb or maybe even less and want to save some money, so trying to figure out the cheapest reliable company and plan without unlimited data (but some data included).

Thanks OP. I've had Red Pocket for a year now (AT&T, T Mobile coverage is terrible in my area) and I've had zero problems. The 10GB monthly plan is now $32.71 with the new fees, so this is a great deal.

Theoretically all fees and taxes are included in rp price and eBay blindly charges taxes on everything so if your state doesn't charge tax on prepaid services you can go back to eBay tax department and request a refund of the sales tax. Now I did this last year but maybe something changed as another poster said they were unsuccessful.

Go with Tello mobile. You can go with their 1GB plan (unlimited 2g speed afterwards) with unlimited talk and text for a reasonable rate.

Good deal. Thanks.

Question, is there a way to pause the service for, let's say 3 months? I usually go live abroad about 3-4 months every year so pausing the service is much needed.

Currently I have been using Textnow for this exact reason but T-Mobile signal is very weak where I live comparing to ATT.

This competes with the att $300 a year plan with the caveats that there is no mexico/Canada roaming and there is no rollover. I can get this for $275 with target games but if eBay won't give taxes back now this is only $30-35 less than att native so not really a good deal if you like the additional perks and the purportedly higher priority att native service is than mvno. I say maybe but I can say my att prepaid is just as fast as my att postpaid all the time.
