I bought this same printer refurbished a few months ago, same price, from walmart.com. It's been a great printer and I use it almost daily. I would buy it again. And this price is hard to beat for the functionality you're getting, especially with all the recent printer shortages due to work-at-home demand. It also has a deep sleep mode that automatically kicks in between print jobs, basically turning it off but it automatically wakes up when you send it a print job or touch the keyboard for copying, etc.
Looks comparable to the HLL-23935DW I bought for a family member 2 years ago at $89. Only 24 PPM but plenty for my needs. Noting the 2685DW is discontinued but not sure that matters. Appears to be refurbished by Brother so hopefully in good shape.

Mine arrived looking brand new, in a Brother factory box. 10 out of 10 on quality.
Any idea what's the difference between this/L2685DW and L2717DW?
Looking at Walmart site, it shows pretty much same features except L2717DW prints at a higher speed (34 ppm vs. 24 ppm) and larger doc feeder (50 pages vs. 35 pages). Is that it or any other major difference?
I earlier bought L2717DW but don't really care about these two difference so would rather buy this L2685DW if these are the only two differences.
The description says:
Versatile, high-quality colorscanning.Offers an up to 19200 x 19200 dpi (interpolated) resolution and a variety of "scan to" functions including: E-mail, file, image, OCR and SharePoint (PC).

Yikes. It was $99 earlier in the day. I am seeing almost $600 now. Deal is dead.
